Have you ever been on TV or in a movie?
I was 'almost' in a movie.
Several years ago when I was OTR trucking, myself and another driver from my company, picked up loads at the same shipper, bound for the same receiver in Sylmar Calif. This was a regular run for our company that they used to get drivers from the area (of the shipper) loads out after having been off at home. We drove out to Calif. as a 2 truck "convoy".
Upon reaching Sylmar the night before our scheduled delivery date, we dropped one trailer and bobtailed to local favorite diner to eat supper. We walked right in the door to find the place under some kind of construction. And were quickly told that they were closed due to preparations for a movie scene being shot on lcation there the next day. The Movie was "Nurse Betty" and it was the truckstop scence (supposedly set ina Ks. truckstop) at the beginning of the movie. They were putting up all kinds of Kansas signs & stuff (Ks lottery,etc).
We told the director that we were actual Kansas truck drivers (which we were. I now live in Ok.) and we would be PERFECT extra's. He agreed and told us to come back in the AM.
We were there and watched the scene being filmed. Saw Chris Rock and Morgan Freeman. But evidently did not make the final cut and do not appear in the movie that I've noticed.

Been on the local news a few times....no not what you are thinking.
There was a stand off and I filled in for the negotiator with the local SWAT team. Other times while presenting at different training
programs for LEO's and school officials.0 -
Only on Channel 9 from Denver. One time I did an interview with Adele Arakawa on a tornado that hit here. The other time was when that dude and his Nash Rambler went around to different towns. Our radio station made a big damn deal out of it and 9News got a bigger damn welcome here than any other stop in their series. Sterling got recognized as the town that has it going on. 0 -
me, nope.
one guy I knew was in that "Amerika" tv miniseries with kris kristofferson and robert ulrich, where the USSR takes over the USA. he played a dead russian soldier.0 -

My wife's cousin directed this movie. Part of our wedding is in it.0 -
I was on the Barbara DeAngeles show in LA in the 1980's with my then wife! My sister was watching the show in Ohio and saw me on the program, with no prior knowledge of our being on the air! Quite a surprise to her!
My current wife was a local radio and TV personality back in the 1980's.0 -
TV news interview about stores in the mall and my back to school choices for shopping. "my three minutes of fame".[|)] 0 -
I quit counting the TV appearances (23 years Navy, 15 years volunteer EMT and fire chief, reserve LEO, etc.) I have never been in a movie, and would not want to be in the liberal junk that Hollywood produces.

I was on "48 Hours" in a segment about a VP (Patrol) squadron while on deployment. We took the camera crew on one of our flights and they filmed us preflighting and in the air. Another time I was interviewed by the local news when the shop got hit by a smash and grab U-Haul truck.
My biggest thrill though was having a Letter to the Editor published in USA TODAY about guns.[:p]0 -
I was a paid extra in a Tom Hanks movie. Turner and Hooch.I was living in Pacific Grove Ca. at the time the film was shot and spent a week in its production.Long boring days of hurry up and wait. Cast and crew were very pleasant, catered lunches were shared by everyone including the actors. 0 -
Been on TV ... gonna 'be in the movies!'
[:D]0 -
Nope, but I was hoping to try out for a part as an extra in a gangster movie that is going to be filmed here, about the
Mafia scene in this area back in the 20's and 30's. Not that I hope to be discovered or anything like that, I just think it would be cool.
My hometown, Olean, NY, used to be known as "Little Chicago", pretty heavilly laiden with Mafia history.0 -

had a chance to be in the first "escape from new york", but i refused to shave my head{if i could have only seen the future}
i had a nice long segment on the local news, back around 92 when the japs made a public statement that Americans where lazy, fat and stupid, {nation wide boycott lasted about 3 months}, i organized a "jap bashing party", a few hundred people showed up behind my bar and smashed everything from tv's, computers and cars with sledge hammers, then set it on fire{not the car}
funny thing was i had the car parked out front as part of the advertising, everyday i came in some dumb azzes had drove across the lot and actually had hit it with their own vehicles, i got advertising i couldn't buy, i was on the front page of local newspapers with an American flag in one hand, and a sledge hammer in the other {yep those where my drinking days}0 -
Local news once when I was a kid and that's about it. 0 -
I was on the Pick Temple Show in Washington D.C. around 1960.
Later my kid and I were on the news concerning a story regarding the National Building Museum. We had just won a egg drop contest.
I was interviewed for the news after an armed robbery.
My dad was in the F.B.I. Story.0 -
A segment of "The North And The South" was filmed near here and a guy i know was an extra in that. He was threw over a rock wall by an explosion. Guess it was hard to find volunteers for that.[;)] 0 -

I knew Sam Raimi in college and attended (buddy's living room) a viewing of the trailer Into the Woods which got him funding to make EVIL DEAD. Never made it to the other side of the camera for Films. Had a mic or three in my face after a ball game once or twice (TV sports). Bought Kathy Tiplady - news anchor (I kid you not!) a drink when she came into the bar I worked at. Got Interviewed for a news show on the differences between Rugby and Football (more sports). Also got a special mention on the show SPEED during the vintage races at Steamboat Springs, Co while being shown racing one of my bikes. 0 -
