    Yep, I remember filling many a tank for $3 or less ... of course I was only making $1.15/hr back in high school.





    Better yet was the 1949 VW I had in Germany. Gas on post was only 10 cents/Gallon. Fill the tank for a dollar.

    Don't have a picture of it but I once owned a 1964 T-Bird convertible. I painted it 1970 GTO dark blue, put a new top on it, and replumbed the tubing for the top to be folded down into the trunk. It had the 390 CI engine. What a ride!

    59 Ply 2dr ht....This one was a real beauty ...like new custum leather interior... and a big fat hemi.

    Many of these cars were lost in a fire where I had them stored along with dozens of other cars and a rare Waco Biplane and some old race cars of the 40s 50s & 60s (Most not mine)
    Worse yet the entire lot was uninsured.....
    Owner of the building was so stressed he had a heart attack and died... Me I just cried...

    A buddy had one of those... man I loved cruising in that puppy.
