Reflections of classic cars/trucks in your life
At 63yo, there are many cars I have owned that are now classics that I wished I still had, naturally. Also, I remember 2 particular cars owned by my Dad when I was a kid. One was a 1947 Hudson Super-Six with the "suicide" rear doors. Had the biggest back seat (leg room galore) of any car I can remember. Another one he owned (I was about 8yo) was a 1940 Ford Coupe
it was virtually destroyed by a tornado; but, saved our lives in the process.

Yep, I remember filling many a tank for $3 or less ... of course I was only making $1.15/hr back in high school.
Better yet was the 1949 VW I had in Germany. Gas on post was only 10 cents/Gallon. Fill the tank for a dollar.0 -
Don't have a picture of it but I once owned a 1964 T-Bird convertible. I painted it 1970 GTO dark blue, put a new top on it, and replumbed the tubing for the top to be folded down into the trunk. It had the 390 CI engine. What a ride! 0 -

Many of these cars were lost in a fire where I had them stored along with dozens of other cars and a rare Waco Biplane and some old race cars of the 40s 50s & 60s (Most not mine)
Worse yet the entire lot was uninsured.....
