Sorry to hear about you loss. I feel honored that you choose to share you loss with the members of this forum. Most of us have been through similar situations, since life is a cycle and none of us will live forever.

I know you will miss your Mom as I miss mine and I too pray for the peace for you that comes with time. Bless you and your family.

col. plink, email me anytime. as you know, i lost my dad just recently and know the pain and agony. i will be a good listener.
in the meantime, just try to understand, that where she is, is much better a place than here; and, she's more alive than any of us.
'to be absent on earth and from the body, is to be present with the Lord.'
and im sure as much as she loved you, if given the choice, she'd invite you to her new home rather than to come back to yours.
be of good cheer and know, odds are, shes cleaning up your new awaited home as we speak and it will perfect im sure, for your eventual arrival.[^]
GOD BLESS YOU and guide you.

And, as importantly, she was ready as well.

My heart and prayers go out to you and your family in your time of need. I know it's not much but it is all that I can say as any words that may make a difference are not really known to me. Just know that she is in a better place and you will see her soon enough. And don't forget that God loves you as loves his own son.

Sorry for your loss, Andy. My mom passed just over four years ago and I still miss her. My dad is pushing 90 and his health is just now beginning to diminish. Won't be long till I'm orphaned. My prayers will be with you and your family.

Sad news indeed. Sorry for your loss. Try to keep a good thought and treasure the good memories.
I lost my Mom two years ago in similar circumstances. She had come to live with us about five years before so we were all very close. Still hurts sometimes, but it gets better.

Sorry to hear that Andy, those kinds of things are always difficult to deal with, and harder if you are close. Time heals, but it doesn't make it any easier in the present.

May God give comfort to you and your family.

    Colonel,
As tough as it seems now, realize her pain is over. A person need only ask themselves which they would prefer for a loved one, to remain in pain or not?
Don't grieve that she's gone, celebrate that she was here.

That's pretty much what today's been. I've got a brother coming in from Denver for the memorial on Saturday. My younger bro is coming in Wednesday from Kansas City. Times like these, we'll gather at the old house, sit and tell our favorite stories. It's actually a very joyous time. Mom hadn't been in even fair health for four years, and when she lost her sight, it took most of the life out of her. She hated bieng unhappy. And not being able to watch my daughter made her very, very sad so I'm sure she's better off.
I'm not a religious guy, but one thing I'll always carry with me from my Episcopal upbringing is a clear understanding of the grieving process. Thanks again for your kind thoughts.
