Opinions on tatoos/piercings on the opposite sex
Guys- what do you think of 'em on girls? Gals- what do you think of 'em on guys?
Me, I like regular earings, i.e. one hole per ear. I also find bellybutton piercings very sexy, but nothing else. No tongue spikes, eyebrow rings, nose studs, etc., all icky. Especially if on, ah, naughty bits- that gives me the willies. Tatoos? I can't say I like them at all, but don't mind small unobtrusive ones-- but gals who get their whole arms done or let's say, bigger than a half dollar-real turn off.

quote:I asked my wife why do women get these tatoos right above their butts? We saw hundreds of them over Memorial Day weekend. I asked why do they put it where they can't see it?
She said they do it for men to look at.
Men will look at a womans but whether there is a tattoo there or not.
Every time I see a woman covered with piercings the picture that comes to my mind is some old hag in africa with a bone in her nose. Yuck!!!!!
Tats on a woman (at lease most) is like putting a bumper sticker on a Corvette.0 -

I don't care for them! Hate to see them on pretty young women.
That said some of the tatoos are quite beautiful and it is your business what you choose to do with your body. It can limit your opportunities for employment since many folks will refuse to hire you and will prejudge you as an less than bright individual.
It can be a big problem when applying for a job. Some retail stores have a policy of not hiring folks with piercings that are unacceptable to their management. Tatoos that are not offensive are usually Ok if not on the face or neck.
I have worked many places where applicants were told to not bother filling out the application unless they came back with the face jewerly removed. Its a danger around machinery, fencing and other things that can hook onto the studs, earings, lip rings, etc.0 -
trashy. 0 -

Caps maybe, likely few wear hats. You cannot have been suggesting we are haters, right?0 -
My wife has three piercings in each lobe, and I wear a diamond stud on my left lobe. No tats, although I have come close a couple of times.

like someone posted here before me..."Each to his own"....
But here's the funny thing to me, personally:
I used to find tats on women intrigueing, exotic, even exciting. But now that every gal under the sun (seemingly) has one, I find unadorned skin quite sexy.
My wife has wanted a tattoo and a belly piercing for years, now.
Whatever, dear.
I can't judge, since I have two tattoos. One on each lower leg. But since I'm usually wearing jeans and boots, ya never see 'em.0 -

Pierced ears sure. I personaly would not date a girl with tatoos or weird peircings. In my opinion it is just not lady-like. 0 -

BR my suggestion and reply to this young lady who had naturally extremely large ....... was that gravity and years may not be so kind to her tattoo. It was a small rose now, but would end up looking like a long stem rose. I really could care less and wanted no explanation, my mental picture of an elderly woman with a long streched out,........ never mind, bad mental picture. 0 -

BR - Did you over react, maybe a little ??
The thread was asking for opinions. Opinions were given. Not judgments.
Where did I over react?...
I did not judge either...I stated MY opinion0 -
I had my ear peirced when I was younger but not any more. I have never gotten a tattoos. I have never seen anything that I think will still look cool when I'm 70.
As far as tats and peircings in women. Whatever floats your boat. Some look trashy, some are tastefully done, and some are just waaaay overboard.
Getting a tattoo is a very serious and important decision. It should mean or symbolize something to you. Not just "what should I do today? Oh.. I know... I'll get an arm band tattoo."
I used to think the coolest tattoo would be a red stripe wound around a certain private apendage. That way when you were having sex it would look like a barber pole.[:D]0 -

I'd have to bring my visa card in order to pay for THAT much ink on me[:I][:I]0 -
I like Tramp Stamps. Lets one know right away who you are dealing with..[:)] 0 -
anything done in excess is distasteful, anything besides the lobes makes a statement, and far be it from anyone here to ever make a statement in their youth
i used to find tats on women dirty looking, for some reason i do not mind them if done tasteful, i am not referring to the art but in placement
piercings, anywhere but on the eyebrow and mouth i just find them unsanitary looking, now below the neck is just plain hot0 -

I like tatoos, what I hate is "flash"...
If you are going to get something permenently applied to your skin, I think it should be something unique and all your own.
Got my tattoo at the tender age of 39, well past the age when I really care what anyone else thinks, even Mike. I always wanted one, I just didn't know what one of.
Like I tell Mike, "Look upon it as body ID. It may come in handy someday..."
On men, some individuals, I find them fascinating, but it depends on the individual. I think women can get away with tattoos much easier than men. If a guy doesn't look like the "tattoo type," then they don't pull it off. But then, I suppose men can say the same about women.
So, to each their own.
Piercings, I like some. I personally hate tongue piercings. Had a coworker who would click his against his teeth all day long, drove me insane. Anything cosmetic with the potential of causing permenent dental damage is a questionable choice.0 -
One thing is missing here and that is...
lots of Pictures!!0 -
I can see I am in disagreement with most of the guys in here..I am 46 and I love them,,I have been married to the same old woman for 21yrs and all she has is 3 holes in each ear and no tats ,,but I love to go to the lake and look at all the young cuties and charge this old mans batteries up,,right out of school ,around 1980 I dated a young lady that had both nipples and her tongue pierced and I loved playing with them,,she also had two dragons tatooed down in the lower regions that were great works of art,,now I do not care for the piercings in the face and lips but let me tell you a little lady with her tongue done can make you beg for mercey [:p][:D][;)] 0 -

i like my women just a little on the trashy side
when they wear their clothes too tight
and their hair is dyied
tube of lipstick and a tube of rouge
gets me excited, leaves me feelin confused....
no really ,i don't like the goth look but tramp stamps piercings etc. small tatts. are cool, and like the song says..[;)][8D]0 -
I'm amazed to see the amount of people that are against tattoos and also the ones that state false facts. I think tattoos are fine on women as long as it isn't overboard. Similar to piercings. 0 -
Frank - What false facts ?? Did I miss something ??
Doug0 -
I've got quite a few of my own and I love stragtegically placed tatts on women. 0 -
Wow...my wife didn't like some of the responses on here about tattoos meaning a woman was trashy or a tramp. She is 40 and has had hers for many years.
As far as her being trashy or a tramp...well she may be a bit unbalanced since she has stayed married to me for 24 years...but she is far from either of the other two. She works hard for her money in a job that most 24 year old guys cant keep up with her at.
Gotta love blue collar Texas women.0
