Opinions on tatoos/piercings on the opposite sex
Guys- what do you think of 'em on girls? Gals- what do you think of 'em on guys?
Me, I like regular earings, i.e. one hole per ear. I also find bellybutton piercings very sexy, but nothing else. No tongue spikes, eyebrow rings, nose studs, etc., all icky. Especially if on, ah, naughty bits- that gives me the willies. Tatoos? I can't say I like them at all, but don't mind small unobtrusive ones-- but gals who get their whole arms done or let's say, bigger than a half dollar-real turn off.

This is what I tell my students about tatoos:
"Some day, you may have to explain to your grandchildren that it is not supposed to be a condor but a butterfly."

I don't mind if my wife has her ears pierced. However, I don't want to see her eyebrow, nose, lip, cheek, tongue, boobs, navel or anything south of it pierced.
And, my wife has a beautiful body, she doesn't need to clutter it up with tattoos.0 -
Don't like me no "tramp stamps". Piercing's used to make me curious, but have been way over done.
The tattoo craze has gotten ridiculous. Used to be only vets who had been overseas and bikers had tats. Now evry mall rat has'em. Takes away from the aura.
Case in point. After work one evening, I stopped at a local waterin' hole knoen for its female entertainment. I sat at the bar to enjoy one of their way too cold drafts. I surveyed the room and was not overly impressed with the scenery. Soon a young lady began to display her aerobic talents. I was mesmerized but couldn't figure out why. My wallet becasme lighter. After her set, she came by to thank me for my appreciation. That's when I realized that she was the only female in the establishment with ou a single tatoo or irregular piercing. Hhhhhhmmmmmmm.[^]0 -
each to their own! 0 -
Earrings are fine...I think my wife has about 3 in each ear. Not big on tats on the ladies but I've seen some that I would not turn down (if I were single). I have to tats on my right arm (not noticable with a t-shirt on). Not big on full body tats or multiple piercings but naval rings are kinda cute on the girls. 0 -
I asked my wife why do women get these tatoos right above their butts? We saw hundreds of them over Memorial Day weekend. I asked why do they put it where they can't see it?
She said they do it for men to look at. Sounds like a lame reason to me. If I had a tatoo, I'd at least want to see it.0 -

I know what you're talking about -- it seems to be the same tattoo on many women. I don't know what it means, but I see the same tattoo every time.
They do it for men to look at? That's why they have butts in the first place! [:D]0 -
Well , Tattoos (correct spelling!) on FEMALES is one of the reasons I use to NOT have anything to do with that certain female ........
Thanks !!!

Tats on females is like turning the kids loose on the Mona Lisa with finger paints.
The perfect form is there...'embellishments' detract from it.
That, of couse, being my own opinion...and it has gotten me in trouble before...[:D]0 -
My baby brother dated a young lady who was naturally extremely endowed. One day while at a formal affair I spyed a small bit of color peaking from under her scooped neck line. I was rather curious because I had known this young lady for some time and I knew she had no tattoos. She discreetly pulled back a bit of her formal dress and stated she had just recently gotten a small rose. My response was, it may be small now but by the time you get to be a grandma you'll have to explain why you have tat of a long stem. 0 -
my fiance has three piercings in her right ear, two in her left and one in her navel. she also has one tattoo that i helped her draw up. it is on the back of her neck and you wouldn't even know she had it unless she wore her hair up. in all instances i think it enhances her sexiness, but i too believe that it can be taken too far and that some women should never do either. there are those that have just this natural beauty that they don't need to embelish with make up or anything else, there are those that when done tastefully, it enhances there natural beauty (lke crystal) and there are those that even a full body tattoo of cindy crawford just couldn't help....tattoos become addictive too. you get one and soon you want another, then another and pretty soon you have too many and look like a bag of skittles puked on you. 0 -
if God wanted you to be a billboard, he would have left a white blank space on you.[:o)]
at least billboards can be easily changed out, you cant.[8]
tattoos were an early form of slave identification. so was piercing.
so whos master are you property of?
tattooing is a degrading act, which lowers the level of you body from perfection, to a cheap form of advertising.
when you have perfect, anything else is a step down.
tattoo's deface Gods property.
i view it as body graffitti.0 -
I find the plain jane look very attractive.
I have nothing against tattoos and peircings but I think some people are obsessed with it to a point of ridiculousness so I never have had a tattoo or a piercing because where does it end? Is one enough?0 -
Not a big fan of tramp stamps. I have seen many nice tasteful one that can be attractive. But most are unattractive to me. But hey it's their body, if they think it is attractive that's fine.
I get the biggest kick out of people in general that wear shorts year round so they can show off their tats even in the winter time as it gets really cold around these parts.0 -
Nothing more than earings on the ladies for me. I've never thought the belly rings looked good on any woman, but 90% of the ones that wear them were wearing sweats before the fad.[}:)] No tats on the ladies for me either. The tats on the small of the back are about as overused as the chain/barbed wire around the guys arms. But like was said, to each their own. If you like it then by all means get and enjoy it.
I'm a hipocrate(sp?) though, I've got several tatoos.

I'm not a big fan of Tattoos on women that can been seen unless they are only wearing a small swimsuit or bra and panties. I have seen some cool tats but I think how will that look in some situations or after a few years. This past April I was in Indianapolis for the big Fire Department conference and saw one girl that must have been a Firefighter and was good looking that had a cool one of a Firefighter coming out of flames on the back of her neck and top of the back. When I saw it my thought was that would look good framed on the wall but not on her neck/back. She had short hair, which looked good on her, so everyone could see it.
As for the piercings, I've know two girls that had some in places that you normally wont see during the day. They said that it "enhanced the feeling". [;)] In that case so be it, it's not like everyone is seeing it or knows they have them. Other than those and ones in the ears I don't care for them none in the nose, lip or eyebrow. [V]0 -
Oh by the way, I don't have any tattoos or piercings. I would not mind getting a tattoo but I have not come up with anything that I want on my body for the rest of my life. If I would get something it would be on my are up high so it could be covered with a short sleeve shirt. 0 -

On females - no tattoos, no holes other than God given.
On men - no extra holes, tattoos on ex- or current Service Men.
My Sons all have tattoos, I don't.

I have earrings older than Cubslover. 0 -
I find tattoos on a female to be repulsive. Unavoidably, all tattoos have this sickly green tint that looks like decaying flesh or gangrene. 0 -

She would have to explain it to NO ONE ...She owes NO ONE an explanation...
What difference does a tattoo or piercings make?...It does not add nor does it take away from the personality of the person ...It isnt going to change who they are or what they represent or their beliefs and that is what matters in a person, not looks or how a person decides to dress their body...0 -

Then it stands to reason if he didn't want you to run naked, he would have borne you with clothes right?

Women can do whatever the hell they want, I don't have to live in their skin, I only massage and get under it.
I don't care much for nipple or genital rings though as you can chip a tooth.[;)]
Tats don't bother me in the lest. Why should they?0 -

Hey BR,
I agree 100%. But lets face it physical attraction is a MAJOR part of a relationship, or at least a big part at first (if you're not physically attracted to the person, you'll never even explore meeting or having a relationship to begin with). As the question was posed, I personally don't like tats or piercings on a woman. Who knows, we might be soul mates but I'd never kinow because I wouldn't give a woman with them a second thought. Same as if a woman doesn't like tats on men, she might not give me the time of day either. Explaination, nah, doesn't have to.

BR - Did you over react, maybe a little ??
The thread was asking for opinions. Opinions were given. Not judgments.
