i know it's a bit early but any way

where were you?

what went through your mind?

what image stuck in your head the most, the image that is almost recalled every time you hear of 9-11?









i was on the "other forum" as the news hit watching it as soon as the first plane hit, i have to admit i panicked a bit and was glad we lived in the country at the time


dumbest thing i heard, that i have not heard about since, live on the air a female news anchor said "can't they stop these planes by putting up a net?"

    I happened to have the day off from work, when I got up I turned on the tv cuz I had nothing else to do, 2 minutes later they cut to the breaking news. I didn't think it was an accident, nobody can be that bad at flying an airplane. then here comes another one. my jaw dropped. ok, something's going on, I did think it was some kind of terrorist attack and maybe more to come, if they got the balls to do that much. sure enough...

    it was weird going outside without a plane in the sky. I won't forget that eerie feeling either.

    most often when I hear about 9-11 I remember watching it unfold on tv, and I remember some time later watching a documentary showing footage from the first floor when it happened, every 30 sec. or so there was a loud WHUMP noise on the roof thing covering the sidewalk right outside the window, those were people jumping off the building because they'd rather do that then get burned alive.

    I was sitting in History class(high school) when our teacher got a phone call and immediately turned the tv on. I was kind of in awe of what was happening, but after that lifted I was extremely angry.

    I was in my office working and one of the guys sent an email saying a plane had hit the world trade center - i thought it was a small private plane. 10 minutes later, someone came in my office and said come down to the conference room - they had CNN on.

    We cancelled our pre-marriage counseling session with our minister for that night due to being in shock.

    Driving back from court, listening to NPR, literally some interview with someone about baking bread, when they cut in to say a plane hit the WTC. I thought it was a small plane, like a cessna.

    Then some other reports came in about other plane crashes, and by this time, I got to the office. Everyone was watching TV. When the second plane hit, we knew this was wrong.

    My partner was in court at the state capital. She had no idea anything was going on, when the judge came in and said "two planes have hit the WTC, one went down in a field, and one hit the Pentagon. Something's happening here, and we're going to cancel court for the day".

    As she's drving back, I'm on the phone with her, watching the tv in my office, and apparantly I said about a Dozen times, "Holy F--k! Holy F--k!" That's when the first building collapsed.

    I was at work,rushed home to watch it on tv.
    The sight of the second plane crashing into the tower and people jumping to their deaths will never leave my minds eye. I wanted revenge, instantly!

    I was sitting at home drinking a cup of coffee. I was watching CNN when it came up on tv. Wasn't a good day.[:(!]

    Getting ready for work. Since we didn't have cable or satellite TV at the station, I just phoned in reports from my living room. It's awful hard to maintain some kind of journalistic distance when you see what was covered live in front of our eyee.

    ...At home having a cup, watching the news. I first thought about all the people on the planes, in the buildings dieing as I watched. I guess I sat half stunned at first as I realized what was actually happening and then I got really pizzed, just wasnt sure who to be pizzed at, at first...[;)]
