My Apology To Jacob2008
Sorry for my snippy remark. Sometimes I forget that you are a kid. You present yourself well, and seem to be very mature for your age, so it is easy to forget that you are only 14, and reply in an insensitive manner.
You wrote: "See Nunn, I dont have the least bit of problem with cops. Rookies, I hate. Senior cops, no problem.
I wrote: "Now, that is about a silly statement. No offense intended.
Where do you think we get senior cops? There ain't a factory making them. They have to start out as rookies."
I should not have said it was a silly statement. It wasn't silly. It was the statement of a kid, which you are, and so it is appropriate. When one is your age, one has a strong sense of what is fair and unfair, and one has a strong belief in how things ought to be. It is only later we discover that the world is terribly unfair, and only rarely are things the way they ought to be.
Honestly, I would rather work with an entire shift of seasoned officers, but that isn't the world we live in. There have to be a few rookies around to take the place of the senior officers who have moved on.
The "senior cops" you have "no problem" with all had to start out as the rookies you say you hate. Every one of them.
Anyhow, I think I was rough on you, and I apologize.

Eh. Trust me, I can do it. If i can shut a library full of kids up (im the aide at school and get irritated when people complain) I can keep one crazy kid under control.0 -
Fer cripes sake !!
There WAS a class act going on in this thread..lessons given..lessons learned..and a couple people 'meeting of the minds'...one senior[:D] one junior.

Private? See how private it is, with how many responses and how many readings?
FYI, Jacob and I have corresponded privately, and those emails are between us.
quote:thats what i was afraid of. excessive contact between adults and minors is often a sign that something inapporpriate might be going on. jacob, dont be afraid to notify local law enforcement, a teacher or your parents if you feel akward about this. you have to let predators know they arent welcome in your life.
I seriously hope this was in jest. If not, then YOU have a problem. I have had "contact with minors" pretty regularly for well over 20 years, starting with my own kids. I still have contact with them, but they are no longer minors. Now, "my kids" are my nieces and my godson.
These trolls need to go. Lockem up.0
