Got rid of the GMC today

    Anytime you can shuck a Chevy, OK OK a CHEVY with all the bolts tightened up(GMC) for a Ford ya done good.

    110,000 miles on my Triton V10 and not one single problem.
    I haven't doen a thing to it either except oil changes and air filter.
    Still original plugs.

    2000 F-150 with Triton 5.4 motor. 105,000 miles and running great. replaced a fuel pump and thats all.

    218k on the GMC 3500 4x4 work truck, and it still tows a 20' dual axial flat bed nice.

    2000 model year, that means it could've been built in 1999. At best your battery is only 7 years old, and it could very well be 8 years old. That is an acceptable service life for a battery. If your charging system is up to snuff, it wasn't the vehicle's fault that the battery had to be replaced.

    +1 Chevy's and GMCs are pretty trucks. Fords are get-it-done-now, screw-the-fancy-crap, if-it-don't-fit-get-a-bigger-hammer trucks.

    I bought this truck with over 100k on it, cheap. We beat on this thing daily, I mean really beat on it, it rarely ever comes out of four wheel drive.

    Ol' red is one bad ass machine!!

    (Nothing against GM, but just my experience with this truck)


    Sounds just like my 93 F150, which happens to be red also. Tell you what, Ford had their crap together when they built the 92-96's.
