Heh-heh, never thought of it as sexy, but I do love the old thing. It's a '77.
Clouder..
I was going to say '78. Then I remembered that Ford moved the signal lights to under the headlights in '78, and went to square headlights in '79.0 -
Had a '77 Ford myself, with a 351M in it. That thing would run like a spotted ape. Til I rolled it a few times.[B)] 0 -

Yes. First On Race Day. First to the mechanic. First to be towed truck. First to the junk yard. Why? Found On Road Dead.
Seriously, Ford builds good trucks, but their cars are pure schit.0 -

Very true. The wife and I are thinking about a new F150. I really like them and they are TOUGH.0 -
I've owned 3 Ford trucks and 4 Chevy trucks (not including cars) and have nothing bad to say about neither. 0 -
The US military bought a bunch of F-250's, brand spankin new here.
What I like is that they flash the average MPG's on the odometer display.
We are getting 7.7mpg on a 2007 Ford.
No thanks....I'll keep my '88 Chevy. It gets almost 3 times that and is rolling on 35's.0 -

Got a 2008 Ford super duty with a 6.4 powerstroke couldn't be happier lods of power from the twin turbos 0 -
we need a pictures.... 0 -
the early 90's F150's were very reliable. As long as you took care of the body, they'll last over 200k no problem.
As far as new trucks.. I'd probably go Tundra for light duty, Cummins Ram for heavy duty (with the manual of course.. dodge's truck autos are a little iffy somemtimes)0 -

I have always been a GM person but when I needed a truck I bought a 2001 F 150 4x4 I has the 4.6 triton in it never a problem with it other than a coil pack it had 28,000 on it when i got it it has 123,000 onit now and still runs great
I still like the Chevy's and GMC's but have always found that the transmissions that GM puts in their trucks are nothing but trouble sad but it is true
So bottom line is if you drive all highway miles get a GM if you use it as a truck better buy a Ford0 -
don't know much about 1/2 ton pickups comparing between chevy and ford but 3/4 tons on up, Ford is the only real pickup............traded my 99 suburban for an excursion with the 6.0 powerstroke best damn thing i ever done fars as trading a vehicle off.........no more GM stuff for me the suburban always had something wrong with it, doors rattled like it was beat around as pasture pickup, but was never taken of road.....JUNK 0 -
F250 4X4 with Triton V8. Always have it around to pull out some Chevies while Off Road..

I like my Ford. It takes me where I want to go, never fails me, doesn't complain, and is paid for.
Clouder..
It has a designated driver and custom ventilated rear fenders too.[:D]0 -
The MPG's of a ford will kill you.... 0 -

All mature trucks have ventilation, it's built in at the
factory; and all old drivers let grandsons and nephews
drive whenever they want to.
I hope you're not implying my trusty old Ford is something
less a truck for its rustic appearance, or that I had ulterior
motives for relinquishing the wheel to a more, shall we
say; alert driver.

and we can all se the licenceplate perfectly clear....
How smart is that on a scale [xx(]0 -
Trap is alert? Hmmm.... Donnie, enjoy your Ford. I enjoy mine and GHD enjoys both the ones he has too. His 250 has well over 240,000 miles I believe. I'm not sure how many miles he has on the 150. 0 -

And just how millions have seen it on the Highway or parked on the street-[xx(]0 -
What year/model GMC did you trade in for the Ford??
Have had my (own personal)'07 new model GMC Sierra 4x4 WT with the 4.8 V-8, and it kicks the crap out of the 2004 F-150 4x4 I drive at work occasionally. Not even close0 -
My bro' had an old FORD, a '65 or so. It ran and ran. It must have had a million miles on it. It just got older and older, uglier and uglier. He finally got rid of it and got a GMC. He had it a couple years and the Mexicans stole it. It's now in Mexico or scattered all over in parts and pieces. He now has a Dodge and the Mexicans don't seem to want it. Keep in mind Mexicans love "chebbies"!

And there's a reason I should hide that from you? If you need to know where I live, just ask.

Exactly-people freak about seeing a lic. plate in a pic, but yet display it every day on their cars, trucks etc. WTH[:D]0
