    I just got in one!

I got a set of nieghbors who drive like idiots up and down our road.

Well tonight I said something about it (I have called the sheriffs many times but by the time they get here it is over), Well the nieghbor started getting all huffy with me because I said something.

Well then I told them that if they hit one of my kids that they would not have to worrie about the law as I personally would handle it!

Well one stepped on my property and shoved me, and then it was on!

My kids call the sheriffs out as the fight was going on.

Both sides were at fault but no charges.

I admit I should not have said what I said and apoligized for saying it but also said that I would not apoligize for feeling the way I did about it and that my consern was for the kids who are in this nieghborhood and thier safety.

I got a few cuts and bruses in the confrentation but I will be fine.

But I have to admit that my crippled A$$ has no buisness being in a fist fight!

...so did he get the upper hand on you?

You are right there! And I could have handled thigs differently.

But I am the first to admit some times I have let my anger over ride my common sence as I did tonight.

I admitted to the sheriff officer that this was the case tonight, but if they checked into past calls about the very problem that this was over they would see that I have called many many times about this without any resolution.

Bottom line: I let my anger get the best of me![V]

But in front of the kids was wrong!

Yes it was right to stand up, but the kids at 6 and 9 years old do not need to see that type of stuff.

Also I should add that my comment was way out of line in stateing that if one of my kids were hit that they would not have to worry about the law getting ahold of them as I would handle it personally.

That in reality is the type of comment that can get my CWP pulled in a hurry!

yep shiite happens, it tends to have a funny effect on the kids, and you are personally distracted by their presents, which may lead to an injury because your not 100% focused on the fight

    time to cam-cord your complaint

I noticed you deleted the White trash part!

I was going to say that if you met this family you would see what that is all about because they meet the definition perfectly!

There is about 20 family members on one property with half of them living in RV trailers on that property!

Like I said I am not sorry for feeling the way I do, I am only sorry for handleing it the way I did.

GRD, it takes a man to admit to his mistakes....

Sometimes fighting is called for, even in front of kids. On the other hand (as you mentioned) fist-fighting is bad if you want to keep a CCW permit.

I guess I didn't come out as bad as I thought!

My kids were worried because I was bleeding and they said I was cut on my face.

Well not cut on my face, a scrape on my forehead and my leg that got the worst of it.

I didn't know untill now as I didn't look because my addreneline was still pumping!

    Here is the pics:

i did delete the white trash part because i felt it was out of line and uncalled for because i dont know you are anything about your life. i apologize. however, i think its a terrible example to be fighting over something so meaningless in front of your kids. people are killed everyday in america for NOTHING and to take that chance in front of your children is extremely irresponsible in my opinion.

Hey Kevin, don't dwell on this and make yourself sick over it. If you need to talk more about it with your boys, do it on a one-on-one basis and ask them what they feel about what they saw. Then address those issues and put it all to bed. After things are discussed openly, it's easier to move on with every day life. Regretfully, that will not likely be the only physical altercation that they witness in their life. Hopefully, it will be the only one they watch their father involved with. You're a good man, so remember that. Your boys always will. [^]
    I know that.

This was not the first altercation that my kids have seen me in. I had another inside our home back in California were someone refused to leave the house and threatened me and the kids with bodily harm.

My kids do know that I will not fight without a cause, but if I have a cause I do not or will not back down no matter how big or what they have on hand!

I am a firm believer that when right is right I will stand up for it at any cost!

I can't say I'd have done anything different, but as you mentioned, you don't need problems with your CCW. Just getting charged with no conviction can cause problems. The video might be a good idea.

Never judge someone unless your standing in their shoes at that time. How many of us may have done the same under those circumstances.Maybe those people got the message,to some that is the only way to get through to them.Better a fist fight than a kid hit by a speeding car.

Hell man. I've been hurt a hell of a lot worse than that in a lovers quarrel! Matter of fact she had a 9 MM between my eyes and me daring her to pull the trigger. [:)] I ought to tell that story sometime.

This was not meaningless! These people are driving 50mph+ in a 25mph zone were kids are out playing!

If it was not a matter of kids (and I'm not just talking my kids but others on this street as well) it would not bother me!

So yes there is reason behind my initail actions. And I have posted on this forum about the very problem before.

And I'm sure if you had kids that were in danger from this that you would have harsh feelings too!

It is time to pack up and leave the area for a better way of life at least 10 miles down the road.

Well folks, I hate to label myself as "white trash", but if somebody comes onto my property and shoves me, I'm afraid the fight is on. I don't always win my fights, but I usually make the winner wish he hadn't bothered. [:D]

What shape are they in? It has been years since I had a knock down drag out fight. I-95 North Carolina.. Kids were playing , tailgating, passing , slowing down with the old man and a semi truck. Trucker went in rest stop, I parked next to him and went in restroom, Came out and 3 young punks were at it with the trucker. I mean going at it good. Two of them had him down beating the snot out of him. One was leaning up against my truck. One turned and seen me just in time to catch a right hook up side the head. He stayed down. Second one jumped on my back. I threw him over my head and into the semi truck. I bet that hurt. Then I kicked him in the stomach. He stayed down. The trucker was even steven with the third boy. Then the trucker landed a swift kick in the boys crotch. He let out a yell you could hear a good ways away. Trucker was pretty bloody. He went in the restroom to clean up. Came back and beat the hell out of the second one who hit his truck again. We left them in the parking lot like cordwood stacked up.

kevin i will tell you what i once told my old next door neighbor who is a good guy, but he got into a conflict with one of our p.o.s. neighbors, "how far are you willing to take it"

you must keep that in mind, you obviously have more to loose than they do, in our case these people where doing heavy drugs, and had nothing to loose, even their kids where criminals, and you have to think of your kids safety when you are not present out of retaliation, again think "how far are you willing to take it", i will tell you when i was young and single i would be the first one to kick the crap out of someone with whatever means it took to get the job done, i don't car if it was inline at the grocery store, if you had a azz whooping coming i would be willing to dish it out, now that i have a family {even though i joke about it}, i still have to think of them, i have had to eat crow on several occasions, all i could think of is that my family would be better served with my here than in jail

throw that in the back of your mind, you may change your focus and anger to a more creative way of handling the situation, again "how far are you willing to take it" vs. "how far is a loser p.o.s. willing to take it"

I only knew what my kids said at first.

But my kids do worry about me as I do have some health concerns along with about 5lbs. of metal holding my bones together.

I didn't even look at myself untill I took those pictures to know what I had for injuries. I just knew my kids kept saying that I was hurt and asking if I was allright.

    I totally agree there!

I know this in the back of my mind, but I let the indain blood take over when my anger gets ruffled!

It is not very often that my A$$ over rides my brain but this happenend to be one of those times.

To be honest what scares me the most is when this kinda thing happens (which has only been about 4 times in my life) I am out for serrious blood.

Tonight when this happened the other family pulled my off when I grabbed the guy by the neck!

And I really do not know what would have taken place if I had not been pulled off this guy!

Can't say as I blame you for your actions. My wifes dad nearly beat a guy to death with a tire tool for the same thing. I'd probably do the same thing myself.

I hope the other party doesn't hold a grudge and start something everytime they go by. Some folks just love to cause trouble for folks every chance they get, and it seems they always get away with it. Especially if they're trash.
