Fist fight!!!!!!!!
I just got in one!
I got a set of nieghbors who drive like idiots up and down our road.
Well tonight I said something about it (I have called the sheriffs many times but by the time they get here it is over), Well the nieghbor started getting all huffy with me because I said something.
Well then I told them that if they hit one of my kids that they would not have to worrie about the law as I personally would handle it!
Well one stepped on my property and shoved me, and then it was on!
My kids call the sheriffs out as the fight was going on.
Both sides were at fault but no charges.
I admit I should not have said what I said and apoligized for saying it but also said that I would not apoligize for feeling the way I did about it and that my consern was for the kids who are in this nieghborhood and thier safety.
I got a few cuts and bruses in the confrentation but I will be fine.
But I have to admit that my crippled A$$ has no buisness being in a fist fight!

Yeah, but better safe than sorry right? I mean, if you stop him and confront him, he might stop. If you dont and he hits a kid, you cant fix it. 0 -

Please don't lose your cool again. Handle the situation through the LEOs. You have 2 beautiful kids who depend on you. Don't let them down. You never know how that idiot neighbor would've reacted.

Alot of other nieghbors think that the other problems that I have posted about as far as someone snooping around at night is this same family.
Well everyone around me has spotted the person roaming around durring the night but they seem to bypass my house.
But everyone around here also knows that I have numberious firearms in the house and that not only I know how to use them but my kids do as well.
It has allways seemed strange that some one snoopes around this nieghborhood but bypasses this house and we (or should I say the kids) leave more things out for someone to take than any other house on the block.
Our house is being bypassed for a reason!
I doubt there will ever be any retaliation, and if there is I will be ready (but I am allways ready and very aware of my surroundings)!0 -

that's the name of the game, i would be more worried if you thought otherwise, there is only three ways i believe in fighting, and i live by these words
1. fair fight= in a ring with rules, and a referee, if all fights where to be fair, we would all be the same weight and height
2. a random fight as in your case, there are no rules, i will use what ever means necessary to win, i don't care if your 5 feet tall weigh 120 pounds, or if there is more than one of you, i did not ask for this fight, my goal is to win with total domination while expending as little energy as possible and reducing my risk of injury, and greatly increasing yours, i will not reduce myself to your level, i will at all cost stay above it
3. you got an azz whooping coming, you did something very very bad to me or mine, i have no morals when it comes to this, i have no pride, you may not even see it coming, but you will know it happened, {i have stories i would rather not share on this one}
i live by this when it comes to self defense, you probably could find it this in my past post, and i will tell you the same in 20 years0 -

ECC you are right, but it wa provoked by a comment by me that was out of line.
That is why I stated in the original post that both sides were out of line.
I made a verbal comment that was a bit over the line but did not physical actions untill they were brought upon me.

Congratulations, it takes some guts to thrown down on somebody, I hope you do the same thing if the SOB tries racing down the road when your kids are out. Good thing the cops didn't haul you off in front of the kids - that probably would have been a little worse. 0 -
Hell man. I've been hurt a hell of a lot worse than that in a lovers quarrel! Matter of fact she had a 9 MM between my eyes and me daring her to pull the trigger. I ought to tell that story sometime.

I had a similar situation with neighbors only they were using the streets for 4 wheeling. I wouldn't have called the cops cause I live in the country and I don't care what you do as long as it doesn't affect me but they would call the law every time we would shoot in the backyard. (I have a decent and reasonably safe place to do this - its been cop inspected 4-5 times)
after they called the cops for the 5th or so time, they came out as usual and told them there wasn't anything they could do - I was legal. but the cops finally told them if they called again they would go to jail. but I told the cop in front of them about the 4 wheeling and the wife said so what they were just going a "little ways" and the cop looked at her and told her they couldn't get on the road at all.
so I got the vidieo cam out and filmed them continually going up the road and they were going on private property too. (they had a big loop - about a 3/4 mile oval through the woods 500 yards behind my house and about 1/4 mile was on the road. anyway I looked up whos property they were riding on and wrote those (2) people and told them and they contacted the 4 wheelers with the #'s I conveintly provided and made them stop. I also told them after the cops told them the road was off limets that I had film of them still doing it anyway and would show it to the next cop they called on me.
why the story? - well I got a lot more satisfaction doing what I did that any ass whoopin I may have given (or gotten). you do the same - get out the video cam and start filming - they probably have a routine so set up and get em on tape. also set up the camera and talk to them again and act mature but try to gode them into another push/shove on your property and them call the cops. go to the neighbors and ask them to stand with you in a petition type letter that you can show the cops when they show up.
grow a couple of pot plants and transplant them on their property and call the cops. or do something similar so the cops will have reason to search the whole place - you know in a group of low lifes like that there are criminal acts going on elsewhere so all you have to do is figure out how to get the search started.
hell, sell him a "sanitized" sawed off shotgun - them call atf and tell em that he showed it to you and you wanted to do the right thing.

I see nothng wrong with what you did. Our children need to know that its best not to fight, unless you have to, but there are times when you have to. Yea sure, you may should not have said what you did, but with them speeding up and down the street in the manner which you described, someone had to do something, and it seems you were the only one who had the nuts to do it. They came on your property, and shoved you, that is all the justification you needed to fight back. If the law didn't see it that way, screw em. From what you've told here, you were completly in the right. Maybe not legally, but morally. If there were more like you, there would be less scumbags that think they can do whatever they damn well please. 0 -

Thanks for all your encurageing word on this matter.
I never felt I did wrong on this in a moral asspect. I did let my mouth say thing I should not have, but did need to be said.
I wish I did have a video camera to record most of what I described that they are doing as it would make things easyer to proove.
But this family in a sence thinks they own this block because they have lived here longer than any other family.
The old lady was argueing with the sheriff about my kids rideing thier bikes down the side of the road going to friends houses and that and the sheriff said that it was legal to do so and she was insistant that there should be no kids on her street! LOL
This same old lady is the wife of the old man that I have talked about on this forum that drives up and down the street who is legally blind, has no licence, and is normally drunk.
It is the younger ones in the family who are doing alot of the hot rodding up and down the street.
I am not the first person who lives on this block to have problems with this family either. The sheriff has been to thier place many times for various reasons from calls by others.
I think I will get a few affidavids from other nieghbors to colabirate what I have described so I will have them if things start up again.
We will see if maybe this solves the problem though.0 -

Similar thing happened to me years ago. A local clown burned his tires around a corner in front of my house. He knew I was a cop and was playing games.
I was off-duty and heard the screeching tires, but a neighbor/ friend of mine saw him do it. I calmly went out, took photos and measured the acceleration skids, about 70 ft. Frank, my neighbor, and I went to this guys house and talked to him about it.
The dip sh*& "Greg" wanted to fight my neighbor. I told him if he wanted to start something I was going to pound him into his lawn and then take him to jail.
When I went back to work I did a crime report for "exhibition of speed". It went to the DA's office and they filed charges. Frank and I both testified and convicted this bozo. It was a great day.
About a year later this same guy, again driving too fast lost it during a turn about 1/2 mile from my house and smashed into the curb busting up his car.
I was the responding officer. He said he didnt want an accident report, but I took one anyway so it would go on his record. I listed him at fault and excessive speed as the primary collision factor. Another good day. He moved away shortly thereafter.
I hope you heal up quickly.0
