Your shooting buddy?

Mine is. I'm a lucky basturd (yes, I know how its spelled) too [:)]

A girl I almost married a few years ago hated guns....Told me I wasn't allowed to buy any more while I was with her, nor was I allowed to handle/shoot them any time she was around. Sometimes I'd clean them just so she'd leave......

The only bad thing now is I have double the ammo budget [B)]

    My wife hits the range a time or two during the year. Not really her things, but she still shoots enough to know she can hit what she aims at.....

    Nope, but she doesn't care ...
    When I sold off a few from my collection to buy my 1955 MGA and then a year later a few more to pay for my new Saturn Sky ... all she said was "I didn't know you had that many guns" and she really didn't care ... but she does like riding in the convertibles [:)]

    My wife don't mind the guns.She does like to hunt deer(ground hunter).
    But she's not real big on goin to the range.
    My G/F , on the other hand digs it !![:D]

    Once in a while, when we are bored and looking for something to do....SHE suggests going to the range. [:D]

    She likes reactive targets, water jugs, balloons, etc.
    Kind of a mess to clean up, but it's worth it.

    Sometimes we pin up an odd number of balloons, then take turns shooting them.
    Not often, but I have been skunked before. [:(]

    My wife used to be - she loved to shoot the Desert Eagle .44 Mag! Our Baby Eagle in 9mm is actually her gun. But she has kind of lost interest in the hobby. It is a pain to shoot around here though, NO ranges in MD so we must go to NRA headquarters or Blueridge arsenal in VA.

    My girlfriend doesn't go shooting with me very often, but she supports the second amendment. She is a pretty good shot.
    When I was a swinging bachelor, a couple of times I would be on a first date with a young hottie, and I would tell her that I was a deer hunter.
    She would say that she didn't like guns and didn't want them in the house.
    I knew that relationship was not going to last very long. I was then faced with the dilemma: Do I keep my mouth shut about the guns and hope I can get her into bed by the third date?

    I took my wife out on the Arizona desert one time many years ago and shot a dove out of the air with a .22 rifle(Marlin 99M1). I got it right dead through the back of the head..A once in a lifetime brag about it forever event. She yawned and asked when we were going home, so I divorced her. I did stick with her long enough to have three daughters, but dang..enough is enough..

    Mine shoots with me and lately has started shooting with me everytime I go out. The double ammo cost is killing me.

    Nope. She doesn't object to me buying guns and spending my weekends at gun shows, but she's not a shooter.

    Bobski may be able to argue this point better than I can but here goes:

    In the several cases that I taught women to shoot skeet, they became better shots in less time than did the men with the same experience. They took direction better and were less apt to develope bad habits.

    Have any of you noticed this?

    My wife used to shoot on a bullseye league with me.

    She stopped shooting when our son started to kick her from the inside. (she was pregnant) We decided that with the airborne lead and baby jumping concerns, she should stay away from the range for awhile.

    Now, she shoots once in a while but not like she used to.

    My boys both shoot now and do pretty good at it.
