Your shooting buddy?

Mine is. I'm a lucky basturd (yes, I know how its spelled) too [:)]

A girl I almost married a few years ago hated guns....Told me I wasn't allowed to buy any more while I was with her, nor was I allowed to handle/shoot them any time she was around. Sometimes I'd clean them just so she'd leave......

The only bad thing now is I have double the ammo budget [B)]

    Yep...my wife of almost 24 years has been my shooting buddy all these years. She outshoots me at times.

    My wife likes to shoot the .22's and the SKS provided the weather is fair. Won't touch anything w/much recoil. Swears she isn't afraid of it. "Just doesn't like it".
    But she's my gunshow partner. And once she has an idea of what I'm looking for, has a sharp eye. And she seems to enjoy learning about the various types of guns. I doubt there are very many women who know as much or more about Arisaka's than she does.
    I am truely blessed that she encourages my gun hobby. Even tho my hobby goes beyond collecting to buying/repairing old guns that I usually LOSE money on.
    She says (her words) "It's your recreation. And I'd rather have you tinkering on your guns at home, than out in bars or strip clubs like some of my friends husbands."

    Wife dosent shoot a lot. But 19 year old daughter will shoot till the cows come home and she don't card if they ever come home. Now the bad part she most often out scores me. Makes her happy to beat dad. Makes dad happy too!

    And no I won't post a pic. I know you guys too well!

    G/F doesn't care for the guns. She came out to the range and tried it once, so at least she gave it a shot. As long as I'm taking reasonably good care to keep them secured at home, she doesn't give me a hard time about it, either.

    My wife does. She owns at least 5 of her own and CLAIMS at least 5 or 6 of mine (I don't care a bit). I can't let her shoot an AR or my Rem 700 VSSF 223 becasue I don't get them back.[V]. I have one friend that always talks a big story about outshooting her just giving her a hard time. He has done this for a couple of years. She finally said "okay lets see what you can do." We all went to the range a couple of weeks ago. The challenge was golf balls at 200 yards. She shot the Rem 700 223 to start then switched to the 24" DPMS AR after she piped up and said "I just can't miss with this, I need to give him more of a chance!" The look on his face was priceless. She was nice to him and didn't bruise his ego to badly. She hit 15 in a row while the best he did was 5. I have not heard from him since.

    Same here. She would shoot more...AND take an actual interest in guns - IF she thought i wanted her to, but i've never encouraged it.

    She says not a word about what i buy, but did just shake her head when she saw what the double drum mags for the AR cost.[;)][8D]

    Doesn't like it as much as I do but does have a 9mm and 12ga of her own. My in-laws buy me guns for Christmas too. [:D]

    My wife shoots and hunts with me. She shut her (male) trash talking cousin up one day by shooting mandarin oranges at 80 yards with her .22. She hit 5 or 6 in a row before she missed. She hunts with a NEF .243 but HATES to shoot it other than for pre hunting zero check and the actual hunt. I believe that if the wasn't so recoil shy she could outshoot me with centerfires,[:o)] too.[:(!][:D]

    I also had my kids out there today shooting at clay pigeons on the 50 yard berm. They had WAY more hits than misses.[:D][:D]

    While we were dating, she would go with me shooting, shows, etc.
    Post marriage...nada, zippo. She got her CCW a few years back yet only went once to the range to practice with her carry gun. (S&W m37).

    That's OK w/me though. I go shooting w/my best friend and my kids. They love it.

    Who needs wifey when you got your best Bud and sons with you?[:D]

    My wife had me buy her a 10 gauge shotgun for a wedding present, so you can imagine she enjoys guns. She doesn't get to shoot that often right now because we have two young children, but once the youngest is old enough to hold a rifle she'll have more time to practice.

    Yes[:)] She has a XD-9mm she keeps in her desk. Works from home. She has also taken over on my <edit>her</edit> Walther P-99.
