$440 in california...someone has to pay for the illegals 0 -
Something like $40 for two years.
I don't pay much attention.
By the way, you don't pay sales tax when you buy a car, here.
Doug0 -
too much.
208 for 2 years in AZ on a 1995 Isuzu Trooper
108 for 2 years on the 1992 Trooper.
My BIL and Sis own property in Montana, so they don't get raped on "assessed valuation" based vehicle registration costs (a total rip-off). They register their huge motor home, ferraris, and Kompressor up there.
If folks did the math on how much they pay PER MILE to use their RVs there'd be an armed insurrection here. It's an obscene form of State theft.

$30. a year in wv. 0 -
I don't know how many other states tax your vehicle every year, but the common wealth of Kentucky taxes vehicles EVERY year at a value they establish.
They call it usage tax, I say usage tax for WHAT!? have I already not paid a tax on the vehicle at the time I purchased it? Is double taxation fair, legal? Not to mention the FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL taxes that one must pay EVERY paycheck you earn. How much dirty money do they need for usage?
Like I've said at least a thousand times, this government we have setup at every level is a FARCE! [xx(]0 -

Great! Some states believe in rewarding their service men and women...too damn few though.0 -
Here in Washington State, there have been a series of (Four?) initiatives that were PASSED, that each promised us only $30 tabs, but the slippery, slimy, lying, cheating Barstids in our state gummint have managed to raise the fees each time anyway.
Used to pay over $300 for each vehicle, (fees used for such things as a subsidy in the Seattle City Parks to keep the costs of soda from the machines down)...
In spite of the reduction Initiatives, thetabs right now are around $100 per each of my vehicles, if you include the Smog Checks.0 -
my trucks are 30 for two years on the 82 and 20 for one year on the 69 not to bad in Arizona 0 -

I believe Seattle has one of those big brother cameras at Kruschev Junction on Breshnev Ridge. Any truth to that? [8D]0 -
We live in FL and I just purchased the yearly stickers for our three cars. 06 Tundra, 06 Corvette amd 06 Infiniti M35. Renewed online and it cost me a total of $132. 0 -
[8D]--My state license cost is $230 plus $90 for the personalized tag, next year it'll be %180 plus 30 for the tag--

On my 94 S-10 with 140000 miles it is roughly $70 if I remember right. The older the vehicle and the more miles the lower it gets.
Maine has a great law that when you register the first time you must pay a tax.
Say the sticker is $30000, you trade in your old beater and get a good deal and walk out paying $10000 for the new one. Go to the registration office and pay tax on $30000 even though you never paid that. [:(!]0 -
I love liven in bum-fook USA. to each there own. [8D] 0 -

Over all,yes someone is!
But my plates do not get stickers on them every year like most do as I have permanent Disabled Veteran plates that never expire that were no cost to me.
I still have to pay sales taxes and such. I just do not pay Viechle registration or property taxes on autos or land with a house on it (up to 1 acre).0 -
GRD - I think it is wonderful you get support that is visible, and long lasting, like that in your state, for your stint and injury in the Military. Just wish all the states did that. Bless you for your service!!
Here in the near communist state of Washington, there is a proposition that will take a projected 157 Billion from taxpayers in the next ten years...and never has a sunset provision. It will triple tab fees, and much, much more...I am praying it does not pass.0
