    Indiana I paid 30 bucks or something registration. I didn't have to pay the 200 some dollar tax because I'm active duty with my home of record in Ohio. I put the USMC veteran tag on my car. looks pretty good.

    In Oregon it's now $54 for two yrs. -Anything 8000 lbs or less, including trailers.

    In Texas, I pay 58.00 for my '99 Dodge Ram 1500. Also pay extra 30.00 for special tags - Texas State Rifle Assoc.

    I only have to pay 50% since I am Military disability retired ($35). Also I do not have to pay any State or Federal income taxes.

    Mississippi is a neat place to live if you are retired.
