Looks like the snow has set in...PIC
It looks like the snow has probably set in for the year...it'll probably be next July before we see the groung on this mountain. This is the mountain across the street from my house...taken from our front porch:

It was in the 80's today in mid-Michigan.
Way too warm to be deer hunting. Even Pat hunting would be too much work in this heat.
But I get tired of winter pretty quick when deer hunting is over.0 -

We flirted with the record HIGH of 95 here today. 2 DAM hot for October and the first weekend of squirrel season. [xx(][:(][:(!]0 -
You can keep it, Eric.

Andrea...I was afraid that it was going to be too cold here when we first moved here...I've found that the weather is milder here than it was back east...only in this immediate area. We are in a little confined area that gets the winds off the Pacific and it really keeps our temps pretty mild.[:)]0 -
ECC, that is an amazing area! Absolutely beautiful! 0 -

I was just curious!
What is the going rate around those parts, for a nice 10 to 20 acre piece of land?
I'd have to do some checking on the land...but if you buy it, I can build you whatever you want.[;)][:)]
Read your immigrant agreement Eric. We let you in if you agreed to keep it a LITTLE BIT quiet. An open forum on the internet is NOT what we had in mind.[:D]

Thanks for the pic Clouder! How much did you all end up with by the time it was all said and done? 0 -
Cool Eric, thanks or posting! I'm still stuck in this rainy son of a gun for a while yet. 0 -

This was a bad storm. Not a lot of accumulation, maybe five inches, but it was saturated and heavy in the extreme. All the trees are still fully leaved so the weight took down some major branches along with the power lines around them and the vehicles and houses below.
All over now. [8D]

90 here today, ready for some colder weather. 0 -
It hit 90 here yesterday (Sunday), again (in Michigan).
My son was playing the last baseball game of his season and it felt like July. This is OK for baseball-sucks for hunting-didn't even bother to try.
My fall turkey season starts today. It is supposed to finally start cooling down later today. I have seen it snow this early in October in the past. I remember over a foot of snow on October 20th, (pheasant opener) a few years back.
I got that song stuck in my head.... "We're havin a heatwave, a tropical heat wave..."0
