Not since March 13, 1991. No amount of things going wrong could convince me I had a problem, for over ten years prior to that, but the absolute conviction I'd be dead before the year was out made a believer of me.

My hat's off to those who've managed to quit on their own. I had to have help and even today I'm still amazed I made it.

I fought alcoholism and won on my own. I have been sober now, and working on my 5th year. My last drink was April 18th 2003. Life is much, much better!

Congratulations Sarge. You are a strong man for beating it!
    I've been there... sort of.

Thanks fellas, got to say I don't miss it either. I'm also scared if I were to have one sip I would be right back at it again. It's just better to stay away from the booze for me.

Quit in the late 80"s. Watched my Dad crash and burn. Swore I wouldn't follow in his footsteps.

Maybe two cases a year. That would include cooking with it also.

I quit drinking hard liquor when I was around 25 or so.
Would be dead by now if I had not.[xx(]
I drink a glass of Cabernet with a rare steak once in awhile, and still drink beer on a fairly regular basis, but not to excess.

I feel sorry for anyone who doesn't drink. When they wake up in the morning, it's as good as they will feel all day!!!!

I drink. I enjoy fine vodka and I love cold beer. That being said, I admire those who don't drink and I especially admire those who have beaten Alcoholism.

Quit February 8, 1988. Coming up on 20 years with no alcohol, no drugs. I did take two vicodin last year when I had a tooth cut out in little pieces. Other than that, just aspirin for everything icluding the aftermath of a root canal. Just don't want to go back to where I was for the 15 years or so before I quit. And yeah, I needed help, too.
