Wow, a few hundred...out of ~600,000 Biologists and Life Scientists across the globe.
To point out how ridiculous your list is, I suggest you check out Project Steve:

It's a list of scientists whose first name is Steve who support evolution, it has over SEVEN HUNDRED names of scientists on it who support evolution, the point being that there are more scientists whose name is Steve who believe in evolution than there are the TOTAL number of skeptics.0 -

IMHO, evolution is not the problem, certainly not for someone like myself.
However, the absolute and unequivocable denial of creation through an intervention of a deity at some point in time is the sticking point for many. And, truth-be-told, the staunch evolutionists cannot - at least so far - postulate and/or prove HOW life actually began with the hundreds of thousands of genetic blueprints required to make up all of the various life forms on earth. There had to be a plan and beginning at some point. Regardless of what any of us individually holds as being the truth, profound and solid arguments can be made on either side of the issue.
FWIW, the term or title "scientist" is highly arguable in many cases as there is no academic criteria whatsover or sanctioned examination that officially annoints one as being a "scientist" OR that sustains one's professional credibility in the elite cadre of "scientists".
You don't have to be Picasso to be considered an artist - great, good or terrible - and you don't have to be versed in Shakespeare to write a play - be it a classic, farce or dud. And, as well already know, one does not have to be devout, pious, reverent, scriptually-knowledgeable or even honorable to proclaim oneself a member of the "clergy". Titles are often just extensions of wishful thinking.

An overwhelming number of the worlds scientists "believe" in evolution, the physical evidence is irrefutable. Humans have evolved in ways during recorded history, and have evolved plants and animals to better fit our needs for centuries. Nature does this through natural selection. Whether there's a creator/supreme being involved is the real question. 0 -

IMHO -- Continuing exposure of "theories" to vigorous scientific debate and reexamination of existing theories in light of the discovery of new information (facts & new theories based on those facts) is root of the development of knowledge. If divergent points of view were not exposed and dicussed, theories would not change and progress would not be made. I am quite sure that it is the "theory" of evolution that was proposed by Darwin --- not the "fact" of evolution. 0 -

Dak to 68, I think you nailed it. The evidence for evolution by natural selection is irrefutable. The real question is whether there's a God. And science is not set up to address that question.0 -
Spurgemastur, to prove or disprove the existence of a "God" entity is of extreme importance to the world of science. This is one of the ultimate answers to all the studies on the origins and fate of our known universe, and what, if anything, is beyond it. They, in a sense, are set up, and attempting, to address that question. 0 -
Slow_Hand. Proving the existance or non existance of something is simple.. When something exists there are undeniable facts that support that existance, a few examples are, you can see it, you can feel it, you can smell it, and on and on. When something doesnt exist there are no undeniable facts that can support its existance. So in summation The lack of Facts supporting the existance of something proves its non existance..

In point of fact that is not correct. It is almost impossible to prove negatives, because at best all you have proven is that the 300 things you tried did not prove it. There is not, and PROBABLY never will be any proof of the existence of a god. That does not prove he/she/it does not exist, only that there is no proof. Conversely, the is also no imperical proof that any god exists. Gods are a matter of faith exclusively.0 -

Well debate aside if the one global warming side is right we are in for a world of hurt and we follow some of the advise and they are wrong what are we really out. Still does not work Classic. There may in fact be things in existence that cannot be validated by the "current" factual indicators. Quantum mechanics suggests sub atomic particles exist based on their actions, but no one has ever seen one, measureed one, weighed one, or put one over the center field fence. The problem with trying to say that it does not exist because there is no proof that it does, is that you have only proven you have no proof, not that it does not exist. With respect to gods, they are notoriously difficult to measure, which would be required for scientific validation. Thus science is mute on their, its, his, her existence. Nor can logic offer proof, there is none.
Consider this: there are hundreds of thousands of people, perhaps millions who will testify that they have a personal relationship with a man believed to have died about 2,000 years ago. Both science and logic would suggest that is beyond possibility, but those same people would testify that it is true none the less. It is certain that neither science nor logic can get us to the truth of the existence of a god. You can have faith without impirical proof, or you can lack faith without impirical proof, but it is certainly a matter only of faith. My conclusions are not different from yours, but you cannot get there via science or logic.0 -

Although in the normal daily routine one cannot see the electricity if one holds the wires wrong it can be felt, therefor making it a reality that electricity exists, the fact that a Light bulb lights up with electricity makes it apparent that it exists.. Nice try..
However the proof of something existing is the burden of the one claiming that existance, but when they cant prove something, the Old Religious Circle speak of :" you prove it doesnt" comes out. Still the onus of proof lies on the claiment. No Proof is sufficient for me to remain Agnostic about its existance..[;)]0 -

I don't buy - nor do I try to sell - vials of snake oil as being curative, preventative or The Elixir of Life. And that goes for both sides of the argument. Mental masturbation can become a fulltime occupation if one allows it.
If anyone here on GB - myself included - had real insight - let alone the the actual proven and irrefutable answers - neither he, she or I would be potchkieing around night after night on a posting board. One of us would be sharing our profound wisdom and enlightenment by lecturing to the greatest scientific and/or religious minds in the largest auditoriums in the world.
IMO, it pretty much all comes down to believing whatever floats one's boat and rocks one's socks. If a man is a fancier of snake oil, then why worry if he buys it with his own money?
Far greater minds than ours have argued and continue to argue these issues - to a never-ending stalemate. What makes anyone here on GB - myself included - think that he or she actually HAS the one correct answer and that anything contrary to it is wrong?0 -

Uh you can see bacteria etc. if you have the right tools and you can measure the wind and electricity.
