Do you stop to pick up money?

A buddy of mine recently made fun of me for stopping to pick up a quarter. I mean, a whole quarter! He said he wouldn't bother for anything less than a dollar.

Call me nuts but I pick up every penny I see- heck even sometimes I stop to pick up a paperclip, washer, or the interesting rock!

    Oh yeah. I even make kind of a game of it. I consider it my duty to find at least one coin every day. So I have a habit of scanning the ground in places I walk thru. Rarely do I get skunked and often find more than one. Usually pennies. Days I find more than one make up for the rare days I don't find any. Yesterday I found a dime.
    Every day I put all my change in a big jar and at years end around Christmas, cash it in. Usually about $200. I figure about $10-$20 of it is "found money".

    Yes. Even pennies.

    Not so much for the actual value, but to see if I can still bend over that far.

    I work at the MALL, there are these kiddy carts that Mom's & Dad's use to haul the kids, that they pay to use...If U return the carts to the cart rack U get 4 Quarters back. A lot of times the carts are not returned and just sitting around. I go looking for them as I be taking my Mall walks. One day I made 12.00 and bought everybody coffee, I was the hero of the day[8D]

    I pick up pennies, nickels and soda/beer cans & bottles because they are worth 5 cents. Last year alone I picked up over $400.00 worth of cans & bottles. So far I've bought a Gary Fischer Mountain Bike and a Hawken muzzle loader and I do a lot of "free" plinking with my .22's and .50 cal muzzle loaders! (Oh, yes, I pick up the occasional dime and quarter, too!)
