Do you stop to pick up money?
A buddy of mine recently made fun of me for stopping to pick up a quarter. I mean, a whole quarter! He said he wouldn't bother for anything less than a dollar.
Call me nuts but I pick up every penny I see- heck even sometimes I stop to pick up a paperclip, washer, or the interesting rock!

Pennies, maybe not, but nickels and up, you bet.
Was mowing at work the other day and nearly ran over a dollar bill. Got off the mower to retrieve it -- ended up following a nice green trail and picking up four. My boss, who has a strong fondness for money, grumbled about it for days, threatening to switch our mowing areas. I had to point out that he's blind as a bat and couldn't spot a muddy footprint on a white tile floor, let alone a green bit of paper on green grass.0 -
"See a penny, pick it up and all day long you'll have good luck".
Your friend is an idiot. I never pass up money on the ground no matter how small the amount is........[:)][:)]

Picking up a penney is equal to $12.00/hour. Now you just have to find a place where they have 1200 pennies. [;)] 0 -
5 pennies make a nickle. I too check out and have found many treasures in the road, alongside the walk and many places. Many years ago I drove a Bugeyed Spite that was real close to the road so am well trained now at spotting any thing out of place. 0 -
I get a real charge out of finding stuff on the ground.
Tell him to buzz off.

I use to frequent a bar in the city and the lady who served the drinks was a big (@#$%^&*) slob.Drinks were $1.75 so you drop two bucks and she would get pissed at a quarter tip and toss it back at you. So many nights I would go in there and pick up close to ten bucks worth of quarters off the floor. What an IDIOT! So to answer your question, yes! 0 -
If your walking around with your eyes on the ground, how do you see where your going[:0][}:)][:D]

Find a penny pick it up all day long you`ll have a penny. I pick em up all the time. 0 -
It usually needs to be a dime or better, but sometimes I'll go for the nickel. I found $0.18 in the parking lot the other day. 0 -
I pick up pennies that I see laying on the ground; however, if I drop one, I leave it for the next penny-picker.

-I'm so tight that I squeak. How tight am I? I'll squeeze a nickel until the buffalo s#!ts!
Look at it this way. If you put money in the bank and they pay your 2 1/2 percent interest and you find a nickel, it's the same as leaving money in the bank for two years. I pick up every penny.
I do, though, like to do charitable things and then I don't think about the cost.0 -

Sure do. It adds up man. The girlfriend yells at me when I pick it up and then again when I cash it in and buy something with the change. Go figure![:D]

I use to make aluminum tin foil quarters at work and lay them around the shop just to watch people pick them up and watch the tin foil crumble. Got so good at it I could lay real quarters and they wouldn't touch them...[:D] 0 -
I am the spender of the family, and the more money the merrier. I'll even pick up a penny that's all scuffed up and barely ledgible. 0 -
I'll only pick up a penny if it's head's up.... 0 -

It doesn't matter to me the denomination. If I see money on the ground, I pick it up. It must be my Scottish heritage. [:D] 0 -
I GOT Y'ALL TOPPED HERE..
I was the "Irrigation Technition" at "THE BREAKERS HOTEL" on Palm Beach, for 3 years..
I used to make my "rounds" every morning.[;)] First, i would head strait for the pool and cabanas, and check along all the hedges and cabanas, then i would head to the "members parking lot". Same deal, walk the hedge-lines all the way around.
Then i'd hear to the "Valet lot". And it'd be the same "MO" walk the entire hedge-line.
The first year, i didn't have it together too good.I prob made-off with $350-$375 for the year.By the 2nd year, i had it DOWN..Year2 i know, i picked-up at least $750-$900. The last year i was there, i spent 1 full hour,, every morning just lookin for CASH! And it paid-off!!
Conservative estimate,,,$1,200-$1,500 U.S Mo-FO Dollars!![:D]
Best day ever, i found TWO fifty dollar bills rolled-up into a single "straw"like someone was snorting coke and lost their straw...
Then i went to the "members lot" and found another ten-spot.$110 in 1 day baby...

I always pick up any monies I see on the ground.I have a 1.75 litre empty Vodka bottle.I put all my pennies in it.most of them I have found.Next to it I have another one about 1/4 full, and next to that another one I put all my silver change in,thats about a 1/4 full.My wife doesnt want me to cash in untill the silver bottle is full.Im thinking about getting a change counting machine to roll them any one else got one of these or can recomend one. 0 -
Just remember to hoard the pre 1981 pennies, they're worth almost 4 cents a piece. All pre 81's are being sent back to Federal Reserves for melting down. 0 -
Not since that one that was pre-heated up with a butane torch. 0 -
