    Sure enjoy those tactical/swat/assault/sniper guns!!

Mine was a Smith Model 36 brand new with a trigger job and real custom grips, cut to fit my hand. I got it in 1966 at Ken Stone's Gun Shop in Sparks, Nevada.

This was the first firearm I ever bought, followed closely by a Remington 600 in 6MM Remington.

Paid $69 for the Smith and $99 for the Remington(with a 6X9 Leupold on it).

My first, was some POS 22 revolver, that was almost shot out when I got it. Been too long ago to remember what the brand name was. Didn't care at the time.

Smith & Wesson Model 39. I bought it from a retired cop for next to nothing. His new wife/life did'nt want guns in the house. I still have it and every once in a while bring it to the range. What a great handgun, Mrs. likemhot uses it for her safety classes. I have to keep reminding her whose it is.

The first handgun that was truly mine was a Taurus 607 with an 8" ported barrel. That thing was a kitty-cat even with full-house rounds. Best bowling pin gun I ever owned.

Not long after I was married my wife bought me a H&R model 686 22LR/ 22WMR. I needed money to go on my 2 week National Guard Training then, so I sold it. This was probably in 1982. Just last year I got it back, and it he still had the box.

I think it was a ruger P89 9mm, traded before I could shoot it. But I was young and my grandpa didn't want me to have a handgun. He bought it with a remigton 870 and sks from a guy needing money at his work. He traded it for a 30-30 marlin 336 from his brother. Of course I now hate 30-30's after a few deer hunting trips and relizing how much they suck so It has been sitting in the safe for the longest time. I still wonder if it was really mine though, he bought them supposidly for me but insisted he trade the pistol, and insisted on selling the sks because it was a "assualt" rifle and he hated it, yes it was semi auto but thats just him. My first pisol that was atually mine to use was a smith and wesson 38 special with 4" blued barrel, don't remember the model.
