The first gun I ever owned was a crossman 66 powermaster BB/pellet rifle. I was 7 when I got it for christmas, never had a mishap and never shot at any living thing. As I get older and have much better weaponary I find I am changing... hehehehehehe

    What was your first gun?

I found a .177 Crossman air pistol in the back seat armrest of a '53 Studebaker I bought in '57. I still have the pistol.

Fast forward to modern times - 20th anniversary Bushmaster. It still is unfired.

The rifle everybody thinks is butt-ugly!

In 1963, my dad bought a Remington Nylon 66 that I still have to this day! The ole man wasn't a shooter, he was a golfer, it was the only gun he ever bought...it'll never get sold. [;)]

My dad bought me the Remington Mohawk 10C (Nylon 66 with the 10 round clip verus the tube mag) when I was 14.
I still have that to this day in my safe and shoot it occassionally. It is a sweet little rifle that most everyone thought was butt ugly.
It will go to one of my god daughters when I decide to hang it all up.

First gun I received was a Marlin mdl 60. Still have it, still shoot it often. My kids love it. Have had it for almost 35 years. First gun I bought was a Savage mdl 24 in 22/20. Still have it. Take it out squirrel hunting at least once a year for old times sake. Bought it new for $78 31 years ago.

My parents gave me a Spesco single-shot .410 when I was ten years old. That was 25 years ago and i still have it. I'll probably let my son have it when he's old enough.

Ruger SP101 .357 is the first gun I ever bought.

My choice now would be the same. Aside from it being a bit on the heavy side for pocket carry, it is small enough to carry concealed, fits my hand perfectly, is very accurate for me and manages the recoil of the ,357 full load very well. I couldn't ask for a better all-around self-defense handgun for my needs and preferences.

When I was around 9 or 10 my grandad (pop) gave me a Mdl 290 22lr Winchester.
It has a monte carlo stock and gold trigger. I still have it!

On my 8th birthday my parents gave me their Winchester Model 04 single shot 22 rifle that they started out their married life with. They used it early in their marriage to shoot egrets, etc. on the river and sold them to a fellow that used the feathers to make arrows. They were able to make extra money during lean times by doing this. I still have the little Winchester 53 years later and it will continue, hopefully, to be passed down though our family.

The beautiful Nylon 66, bought it myself when I was 11, still have it won't sell it. Fires better than my 10/22's, better trigger pull too.

You know there is a reason that there are so many aftermarket things you can do to a 10/22..................they are just trying to reach Nylon 66 status!!!!![:D][:D]

And yes, this is a knitting forum.
