Two fifteen rounds of 9mm plus one in the chamber. Total 31 rounds.

5 shots in my revolver. People who have a lot of shots must miss a lot.

or - people who carry a lot plan on missing a lot? I generally subscribe to the "rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it" school of thought, but at some point it's difficult to conceal a complete arsenal.

Full mag and one chambered in my P3AT

With the Kahr P45 I'll carry the same, but also a spare mag as they are small.

Five in the gun. Lately I've been carrying two five round speed loaders for a total of fifteen, but I think I'll go back to just five in the gun.

Sigma .40 cal with 15 rounds Hydro-Shocks. Another 15 rounds in a spare mag in the truck.

Years ago the stats for a police involved shooting was 2.7 rounds. I don't know if that still holds up.

summer carry 3PAT 6 in mag none in tube
winter carry Taurus ultralite .38 5 in the cylinder.
No need for extra mags or speedloaders. If 5 shots wont get me out of a bad situation it is my fault for being in the wrong place.

For the past year or 2 just the 5 in the gun but I just ordered some speed loaders and if they work "crosses fingers" I may carry them, its a comfort issue for me.

I figured if I need more than 5-15 I need a bigger gun, with more range and more leathality and some good body armor.

In a carry situation 5 hopefully would do the trick but a reload would be nice.

What is it one or five? What happen to I hate Glocks. I only need a single shooter, because I'm so good a shot and everyone who shoots a Glock can't hit anything etc...etc....etc.

In the summer or "lite" carry Colt Mustang with 6+1 Corbon .380. I then have a spare mag of 6. With an auto there is no reason not to have a spare mag since they are the weak link in the system. I know in a street fight you will most likely not have a chance to reload if you have a mag failure but like others have said I would rather have it and not need it then to need it and not have it.

In jacket weather I carry a G35 with 15+1 Corbon .40 and normally a spare 15rd mag. I know 30rds is a lot, but I am not going to down load just because. I would like to carry this gun all the time but it is too big and too hot so I pack the Mustang since the gun you have on you is better then the one left in the car/house/safe/ect.

If I was old enough to carry, I would keep one loaded, with 2 mags. I want to carry a Sig Sauer p245.

I keep it in my front pocket. I'd hate to reach for my chap stick and have an accidental discharge.[:D][:D][:D]

Not trying to be a smart ass or anything. Have you tried one of these? http://www.donhume.com/Products/ProductsPage.cfm?ProductID=31

Personally it would be freaky to me getting mugged and having to tell the crook to hold on while I rack my gun back. Stay safe buddy. [:)]
