Fred Thompsons motto: Have government put a Thompson in every law abiding home to curb immigration and terrorism.

Now, put Newt as VP, and I'd vote that ticket!

I thought he said Johnson, and, well... never mind.

Heck no! IMHO...Newt is as screwy as they come! And the biggest hypocrite in the world! Jumped all over Clinton during the Lewinsky scandal, and then it comes out that he was dipping his wick on the side too! I like Thompson and will support him, but not with Newt on the ticket!!!

Unless Fred says some really stupid things(which I doubt he will) he will have my support. At least he is a real REP, not just a DEM in disguise.

    I am a bit curious.
I have read several different opinions on his stance on firearms and the 2nd Amendment.
    Any info?

    Blasphemy!

Don't you all know that 0.0% support makes Ron Paul aka Dr. No the ONLY real candidate?

Anyone who thinks otherwise is a tool of the NWO, Bilderbergers, CFR, Tri-Lats, etc...etc...One world hedemony!

LOL, that was all sarcasm BTW, GO FRED!

Anyone who can bag a hottie 20 years his junior has some SERIOIUS persuasive speaking skills.

Hell, He might even be able to get the Israelis and Palis to get along!

Now that is just crazy talk.[:D]

But seriously, Thompson or Ron Paul are the only candidates that I can see supporting this election. Anyone else and I'll vote third party....and that'll be the beginning of the end of this country.

Thompson will undoubtedly get my vote also.
Ron Paul is the best as far as "small" government goes, but he doesn't have a chance in hell.
I just can't throw my vote away, when someone like Hellary, is the alternative.[}:)]

we're talking the "primary" here marc.

Ron Paul has already announced that if he doesn't get the nomination, he will not run as an independant. Also, there is no such thing as throwing your vote away, unless you just don't vote.

I do realize I'm dreaming, but I really like the guy.

I'll vote for Fred, but I think that those of us who do, are just kidding ourselves.

    Can you say:"Madam President"??

    Ben,.......I understand all of that.
I like Ron Paul also, and his constitutional belief system.
He never had a chance anyway, but when he made the comment in the first debate, about us being responsible for 9/11, he turned himself into a "nutjob", to all the conservatives that know little or nothing about him,........that was a big mistake.
What I am afraid of is this,........if folks like you, vote for Ron Paul, in the primary, you are doing so because of his beliefs, and so would I if I was to vote for him. The next most conservative, seems to be Thompson.
I believe voting for Paul in the Primary, will largely hurt Thompson, and give it to a more PC Republican, like Gulliani, or Romney.
I really believe someone like Thompson is the only person that has a prayer of defeating Hellary.
That is the mindset that I am coming from.
I dread the thought of that commie pig, as our President![}:)][xx(]

Doug...I really respect your opinion, but I honestly think your wrong. We're still in the primary stage, and Madam Clinton is the liberal media darling. Fortunately, the liberal media doesn't speak for the "common" guy and gal on the street, as much as they would like to believe they do. I think it will be just like the last election...close as heck, but the "common" guy and gal will rule the roost. As sexist as it sounds, there is no way mainstream America is ready for a woman president. Maybe I am to optimistic, and see the glass as half full insteand of half empty, but I honestly don't think, when the time comes, that Hillary stands a snowballs chance in hell of winning. Just wait until after the primary's and the mud REALLY starts flying! Hillary and Bill have so much on them that it will be tough to survive, no matter how the media colors it.

    Iluvguns,.......I pray you are right!
I am afraid that every 18 year old and up female nutcase, that has never voted before will go out and register, just to vote for a "commie" female.
Also another fear is the "senior" population, that WANT socialized medicine, by and large.
I hear folks around here talking about it all the time!

I don't see how fred supporters can look at his record and still think he is the best man for the job.

I agree,..........not the "best", but we have had to play by the lesser of two evils rule for quite some time now.
    Which would you prefer?
    Thompson, or Hillary Clinton,......duh.[xx(]

Of those two fred of course, but I think huckabe or paul are better 2nd supporters.

I think paul would do better against hitlery than thompson.
Paul has a huge following of gen-x-ers and will atract many middle of the road dems and repulcans so his overall numbers would be better than freds.

We will have to "agree, to disagree" on that point.
Why are Ron Paul's poll numbers so incredibly lousy then, if he has this across the board appeal?
Also,.....while it is sad, personality has far too much to do with politics, but it is a reality.
Ron Paul, is far from the type that it takes to win the Presidency in this day, and age.
Geez,.....do I wish he was better at speaking, and on camera,......shouldn't matter, but it does!
