I didn't read past the 2nd or 3rd paragraph and saw this

LOL the Glock barrel is a polygonal rifled barrel which is"basically a smooth bore" from the factory.

I despise the trigger on most DAOs, including the Glock. But in terms or reliability that sucker might be the AK of the pistol world...0 -

My 2 cents here:
My overpriced and finicky Kahr PM9 simply can't carry a Glock 26's jock strap when it comes to an easy, agreeable, reliable and forgiving 9mm semi-auto.
Although a lot of folks will not admit it, the Glock is among the most practical, accurate, reliable, durable and easiest guns to own, feed and shoot. I have no doubt that there arguably are better guns but IMO, dollar for dollar and pound for pound, the Glock is an outstanding choice and exceptional value right out of the box.
When an affordable, mass-produced gun is called upon to go "bang!", Glock does it as good or better than most others.
Again, there may be better or superior weapons in each caliber but going "bang!" when you need it is the benchmark of a firearm and also the ultimate goal of any gunowner. Or at least it should be.0 -

I guess you never bothered to read the article. The guy put the Glock up against his buddy's USP; the USP failed miserably.
HK's never been known for their reliability, anyway. Cutting edge design, yes. Military applicability, yes. Wicked looking, yes. Reliability? Hell no. A lot like a Porsche or a Ferrari (including horrendously overpriced replacement parts).
That said, I'm still not going to buy a Glock. That DAO trigger makes me want to throw it across the range.0 -
A buddy carried a Glock concealed, and swears it rusted from his body sweat.
I prefer a more metallic weapon, simply because if it ftf's I want to be able to use it as a boomerang and a more metallic one would raise a bigger knot on a bad guys head!0 -
I'll stay with my 1911, I just don't like the way Blocks feel. They don't seem to balance in my hand right. they make a pretty mean door stop though. 0 -

As many Glocks as there are in use by LEA's in the US alone less than 1% of them give any problems. That is saying alot. 0 -

Ifn' those tupperware pistols came with the sights properly mounted on the side for shooting gang bangers (He was an alter boy who was never involved with gangs...) then I might get one.

May as well shake it out with one more road trip. The mag was always full, but no round in the chamber for the "draggings".0 -

I want going to say anything but I cant help myself. 99% of Anti-glockers I bet never carried a glock. I can carry whatever I want and most of the time its a Glock 22. Power to weight ratio is unsurpassed. They have a track record like an Ak and are just as ugly. Give me the glock anyday when im in a pinch. 0 -

I don't know why you guys can't see how biased and faked this test was. The Glock unbelievably just never missed a beat, But the overpriced crybaby HK couldn't go one round against Glock.
I would have probably believed this test more if he did something like have King Kong jump up and down on that Glock and then climb to the top of the Empire State building and throw the glock at fighter jets as they tried to get the Glock back from him.0 -
Why didn't this tester date his test ?
I read that exact test over a year ago and all along in the test he says "Video comeing soon"
How long is soon? I have been waiting over a year now for the video footage.0
