The elevator door opening and the car not being there. Bad thing is, I'm a supervisor of electricians whose duties include working on the plant's elevators.

Heights, tight places (as in enclosed, not dangerous), deep water (if I'm in it -- boats are fine), and anything tiny that stings (bees, black widows, wasps, etc).

    1) Spiders

    1) Heights

    1) Very small places

I was going to say "tight", but that would not have been actually correct.

Well, I have two. Worst is getting in front of people to make a talk. Don't know why it is but I will pass out if I have to get up in front of half dozen people and talk.
I was going to say There are a lot of things I don't like, but I don't really have any phobias. Then I seen this, and this is my phobia. I would NEVER get up in front of a crowd and speak for any reason under any conditions.

    1. Talking in front of a large group of people.
    2. Heights--although my job is starting to help me get over this one.

I don't know if it's a phobia really, but it sure makes me feel uneasy. Blue water SCUBA diving (where the bottom is thousands of feet below you). Was diving once in Hawaii in about 40 feet of water in this crater off Maui. Followed these fish over a ledge that turned into a wall that went down 12,000 feet...straight down. Can't understand it; started breathing real heavy and had to keep checking my depth and looking to see if I could see the surface.

Same thing happened in the South China Sea once diving with some Mantas, spotted them at about 80ft; got so interested in them followed them off a ledge into serious blue water before I knew it. Spooky, thinkin' what's below you you can't see.

Yeah, I dive for a living and I still think twice about jumping in where its thousands of feet deep. I'll still do it, but I have to force myself. I think thats my only phobia, I don't like palmetto bugs.. but they aren't scary.
