I was being sarcastic about my New Zealand boycott. Not real sure what they make.

Wool, beer and trouble if you poach their seat in the pub. [:D]

You should have seen the original Zealand [}:)]

ObiWan: the reason the ChiComs got it right on the first shot was that they were using Tech that we sold to them or some country that then sold it to them. The majority of inventions and tech advances that are now made elsewhere were researched and made first here.

    Greetings,

This post caught my interest because I was once a crew member of "The Hawk". Served aboard her from 87 to 91 . Circumnavigated the globe aboard her on a world cruise from Jan 87 thru Jul 87. Thats the "Order Of Magellan" to all you land lubbers
and Square-knot Admirals. We left San Diego heading west to Philadelphia. Arriving there for long yard period.

I did 20 years active duty and the "Hawk" was the best steamer of them all. As a testimonial to that , she is still in commission, where newer carriers than her have been mothballed. Fine ship and fine crew then and I am sure it is the same way today.

Now as far as the ship being denied entry. That's all "Look!, see Pidgeon!" (Only those of us who have seen the movie "The Sand Pebbles" would know the meaning of that phrase).

I think that bunch in New York City is more to blame than the bunch in Washington, Hong Kong or Bejing for the way we smericans and our military is perceived. Its the money grubbers that have put us in this mess. The sooner everyone realizes that, the sooner we can all tighten our belts AS ONE and empower our masses, the poor working people. We out number them, but thats the only advantage we have over them right now.

Wake up friends ...get your family to awaken with you and lets get together before its too late !
