The best guns you can buy for under $500

Im asking everybody's opinion on whats the best gun they have ever bought for under $500, even if you've never bought one, what do you like?
Ive never owned on, but for the money, I dont think you could go wrong with a TC Encore or Contender. the prices may vary, but theres a ton of them floating around new england for less than $500 because they make them here in New Hampshire.

    Any milsurp under $500 is a good milsurp. For new guns, Baikal shotguns, Rock Island .45s, Rugers of any variety (personally I have a Mk2 and a 10/22).
