I use one on long bike trips.
Atleast I did until I reformated my computor and lost my music files so when I charged the ipod it deleted all the songs.
I would reload all the cds back on Itunes but I borrowed them all in the first place.
They sure make all other personal music systems obsolete.

My cell phone has 2 GB of memory and stereo earbuds. Have over 500 songs on the phone. If the phone rings, the song pauses, upon hang up, it starts playing where it left off.

    Don't need an IPOD...

I need an Ipod because I can't afford a fancy phone with an ipod in it.

i dont even have a cell phone anymore, my computer has windows 98 i think... i think too many fancy electronic toys really takes away from the whole "life" experience, listen to live music, read a book not a screen, talk to folks face to face. we miss out on alot of that human interaction when we rely on fancy gadgets... just my .02

What the hell does having an IPOD have to do with being a real man?[?]

Nothing. But to those uncertain or confused about their own manhood, it obviously means enough to ask.

Yes. But the battery is dieing so I bought a Sanza. I use the Sanza for mowing. Hat, earmuffs with ear buds underneath, an ice tea in the cup holder and I am ready to do some serious mowing.

Now I use the Ipod for a clock radio with one of those docking stations. It doesn't rely on the battery (and the Ipod always has had battery problems), and it has plenty of music.

It is supposedly the earliest photo of Abe Lincoln ever found.

[EDIT] I changed it because I am sick of being asked that question

No, but I do have a Japanese transistor radio that receives both Amplitude Modulation and (get this) Frequency Modulation bands!!

It's really boss, it came with a earplug and everything.

Toasted white bread while holding with a wire hanger over a portable electric skillet for breakfast earlier today.

    Manly enough?

No, but have been thinking about buying my son's IPOD-NANO off him so he can upgrade to a 30 gig.

We started riding bicycles together a few times a week and have gone up to 17 miles in about an hour or so-my older son does 22 miles in the time it takes me to do 17. Both of them use their IPODs while riding. I thought about getting one as well so I don't think about the pain so much.[;)]

I have one. We keep it in the car and run it through the car radio. Radio stations play crap music, the iPod plays what I want to hear.

Pretty nice to have all them songs on hand and not need to mess around with a jillion CDs.
