Who has THE Rarest .22?
I don't have anything particularly rare,or valuable, for that matter. I'm interested in old, rare and/or valuable .22 rifles. Does anyone here have such a gun? If so,would you mind posting a pic? TIA.

might be a bit rare, as i dont see any around.
Savage/Springfield 120A single shot
was a rusted broken stock pos when i got it for $10
the time i spent carving and checkering is probably worth more than the whold gun, but its mine and it's what i wanted0 -
olde-any time you get bored I can send you a stock!!!!!![:D]
You can do what you please with it. That looks D@#n fine sir!0 -
I've couple older, single shot/twist type wire frame .22's. One made by Ozark Mtn. Arms, and one by Precision...but they are identical. I was told they were some kind of military training rifle. Bought one new at a Gambles variety store many moons ago, and the other at an estate auction..
Probably not valuable, but maybe somewhat rare..dunno.0 -

Got one made on a Ballard frame by Pederson of Pope and Pederson fame. I know folks say it all the time, but you can actually write your name with this gun on a windless day at 50 yds. 0 -
sorry misread the post, i don't own that one, wish i did though. 0 -

Winchester and Colt combo. made by Winchester for the Winchester Arms Collector Association. Only 100 made and only 28 ever sold, 22 were given away to heads of state. I have #28. Only my insurance man has pic's. I don't know the value, and don't care. They sold for over 10,000.00 new and I hope it has gone up. 0 -
All Winnys and a browning (short only). The 61 magnums are getting more rare.

I was thinking that Mauser, Walther and BSW/Gustloff were the only makers of the KKW, can you post a pic,?0 -

Hello, Id settle for sharing one. I get birthdays and Christmas tho :P0 -
Here's my High Standard Double Nine "Posse" that is somewhat rare. I purchased it new back in the 60's. Very few rounds ever fired through it and never holstered.

Thread topic says "the rarest 22's"

Since you stipulated old, rare, and/or valuable; there is nothing rare about this 22, but it is an older rifle and somewhat valuable:
Winchester Model 75 Sporter made in the 50's with original Winchester sling. Also has a Leupold Alaskan 6X scope.

Wundudnee has every old .22 ever built. 0 -
That's a beautiful 75. Really nice wood.
I don't have anything that would be considered really rare but I do have a couple of 22 rifles that are not too common.
A Martini-Henry with a 30" barrel and ridiculously complicated sights.
A Stevens Take-Down Model 14 1/2 (that's what they called it) that I got for $12.50 at a police auction. Someone had drilled a hole through the breach-block and turned a big machine screw into it rendering incapable of firing. I guess granddad turned it into a toy gun for one of the kids. Anyway, I went to a local gun show and asked a parts dealer if he might have a replacement. To my utter amazement he dipped into one the many boxes of old parts he had with him and came up with one. "Five bucks," he said. Woo woo! The sights were gone so I bought a set from Numrich and put them on myself. Still needs a lot of work but shoots OK and is fun for what I have invested in it.
