Sig P220, RRA AR15, Mossberg 88, Bersa .380, Taurus PT140, and oodles and oodles of fishing gear. It's better to ask forgiveness than permision.

from what i have heard when you have a wife and you buy something expensive (for yourself) then you did wrong and you are an inconsiderate jerk. however, when you have a girlfriend and you buy something expensive for yourself she thinks you are rich and worthy of marriage.
BUT...when you have a wife then you can buy HER something expensive and make up for ANYTHING. however, when you have a g/f and you buy HER something expensive she just thinks you are trying to score with her.

Every now and then I'll sneak a gun by her, but she usually buys them for me, birthday, Christmas. If I buy one, I tell her that its an investment and one of the grandkids will end up with it, which they will, before I die.

Solution: Buy your wife and your girl friend something expensive..[8D]

Same here. I buy what I want and have no reason to ask permission from Mrs K about how I spend my (I mean "our" [}:)]) money. I handle our investments, pay the bills and take care of all of our finances so my wife has no clue about where the money goes beyond what she racks up on her own credit cards.

usualy, except for guns, I have her permission to buy anything I think is a good deal, ammo too.

Seldom. Generally if I'm going to spend over a hundred dollars on one item I'll tell her about it first.

Never...after the first marriage, I've vowed to keep seperate finances.

It depends on where the money comes from ... there is "gun money" and our money.

Many times I've spent several thousand dollars out of "gun money" to suprise her ... stuff like carpet throughout the house, a pair of diamond earrings, a 1 caret diamond for her engagement ring after Abby was born ... and the only thing she ever said was "You shouldn't have".

If the money come from our joint account I most always consult her even if its only a few hundred dollars.

My wife gave up years and years ago on me. I buy and invest what I want. She does not question my judgement.

Sometimes it is just easier to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission.

I only buy guns and other hobby items from money earned from other deals, not household $$$...I always tell my better half about what I buy even though I do not have to.

There is an updated list available to my misses at any time in case something ever happened to me. It includes value of each firearm as well as directions which ones are to be passed on to the boys and the name of a trusted friend that would help here sell the rest.
