Thanks James! How did you do that?

Your welcome. I use a program called Photo Plus, but there are a gang of programs that will do it. I think you can do it in PhotoBucket, but I've never checked out how to do it. I don't mind doing them for folks. It takes less than a minute.

I've had quite a few (Whistler, Radio Shack, Cobra) and all worked well but every single one (five in all, maybe more) crapped out for the same reason.

Where the power cord plugs into the unit is a weak spot and has always become loose, erratic, broken or just quit working unless squeezed to one side or another. I still have two useless units whose warranty has long expired. [:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!][:(!]

I have a Valentine One. Best radar detector money can buy! They run $399. It has paid for itself many times over.

I have a Mod 1, Mark 1 Escort, best thing I ever did with/for my auto hobby - Has saved me $$$$$$$$$$. I never go cross country without it.

Next windfall, I'm gonna buy the passport. The kid will get the escort.

FEDERAL Communications Commission sez that any freq you wanna listen to is LEGAL. (Cell freqs excepted) Any state law is null and void, if the fed law exists. Virginia (and other states/municipalities) have not been effectively challenged on their laws. They will be declared null, if there is a "good" suit. The various jurisdictions where there is a supposed ban or restriction of the reception of RADAR usually function as a "TAX", where they confiscate the unit as part of the penalty. In some jurisdictions, the presence of a unit is presumed to be an admission of "Intent to Speed", and may be used in evidence to indicate intent to commit other crimes.

I have used mine in every state in the union, except Hawaii.

There are some little towns on the coast of Oregon and Washington, where cops will follow you around, hoping you will speed, even by a tiny bit - the unit has paid me back a thousandfold in these areas.

I believe the Belltronics STI is a tad better. I wouldn't start my car without mine turned on. It's easy to get distracted on the highway and in town. This levels the playing field. I run into more radar in town on the 30MPH four lane divided roads (yes they are speed traps) then on the highway. Do the research. You'll find the STI a cut above. With it's stealth technology, it's invisible to the radar detector detectors, used by Virginia. I put mine on the console in Va and still get a heads up with plenty of time to double check my speed. Agreed that NOT speeding is the best method but I got caught one time when a local clocked me from where the sign said," reduce speed ahead". You try fighting the occassional yocal that wants the revenue.

The Valentine one's best feature is the directional alert, it lets you know what direction the threat is coming from. It also lets you know how many sources there are. It is invisible to radar detector detectors, and can weed out false alarms from other junk detectors. The range in incredible, I've picked up cops using instant on over two miles away.
