Cartridge trivia?

Name 2 very popular North American, deer class, rifle rounds that have never been used by the military. You must name the two cartridges together in your post, not by themselves.

    Hey Cubslover that's kind of random that you said those 2 particular calibers. I happen to have a 243 AND a 250 Savage sitting in the closet right now. The 243 was a Christmas gift about 13 years ago and right around the same time a very generous ex boss of my fathers gave me the 250 Savage. The 250 is a Ruger M77 in near perfect condition. I think I've only shot it a handful of times. The 243 on the other hand is my baby. That is my goto gun. If I absolutely positively need something dead I know that is the gun to go with. I have shot deer out to 354 yards with that gun....then again I have practiced a helluva lot more with it as well.

    Damn, I knew the 30-30 was military but not the 300 mag, but the 270 has to definitly be one.
