30 yrs old and unisureable!! mini rant
Just got off the phone with the insurance company.
currently I have insurance through the wife. it's an HMO with ridiculous rates. $300 a month for me doen't matter how healthy or unheathly you are still $300 bucks.
We just had a kid and the same $300 bucks to add him regardless of age and health.
So I applied for individual coverage should be about 1/2 the cost and was going to add the baby for about a 1/3 of what it was going to cost to add him to the wife insurance.
Ya right.
these people want me to pay the same rates as 45 yr old smoker $550 a month for just me, are they crazy!!!

non smoker
have one pre existing cond.
That being high blood pressure which is not all that uncommon 60% of all Americans have HBP but only about 30% of those are ever dianosed and treated.
With treatment it is a non issue, treatment runs $1 a day for the pill.

Not really sure what is your beef. You are not being insured based on your exact health situation but a pool of people. I can only guess that there may be a lot of older 45 year old smokers in your pool which makes you part of the same risk. 0 -
i dont underastand why you guys insurance is so high. I pay 120 a month, i pay 15 dollar copay, 15 for perscriptions. I have vision and dental, and they will cover 80 percent up to 4000 a year.
Is it because im younger?
21, White, Male, No pre existing conditions, I do smoke though.0
