Subaru : Any opinions?

Considering a new Subaru Forester. My brother has 200,000 plus on an Outback and it's still going strong. What thinks you??

  Bought a used 97 with 85k.Car handeled great but that was about it.The block cracked,changed the engine,seals always leaked.The dealership charges big money for repair,parts are exhorbant!Thats just my opinion,will never own another.

  I bought my first Subaru Forester used and drove it for several years. It is a GREAT car!
  
  So I got another on new in 2005 and love it, too! I think it is one of the best cars on the road these days. I could even fit my deer in the back! Hunters take note! OK, it was not a real big buck![:D]

  Speaking of places where the Subaru is a very popular car ... there are lots of them in the Northeast corner of the US and I've also seem lots of them in Colorado as well.
  
  Up until last year there was the Subaru Baja pick-up truck ... if you can call it a truck. The bed in pack is pretty small. There is no way you could get an ATV into it, and that is the main reason for having a pick-up, right! [:p]
  
  I do think the Subaru Baja is kind of cute, and I do really love my Forester, but for the reason above, I don't think I'll be getting a Subaru Baja.

  I bought a new Subaru in 1988 and it was a lemon. Lots of things broke and warranty work was problematic.
  
  I think they are better now and would be willing to give them a try again.
