    7 years old, grandpa bought me a Marlin model 25 .22 I still shoot it frequently.

    4 years old. .22 single shot Sears & Roebuck.

    Dad got it in some kind of a deal with a junk shop he frequented.

    Put many a squirrel and rabbit on the family table over the years.

    I was 6, it was a Winchester 67A.

    Growing up there were two things I loved, cars and guns. One day I was down the street at a neihbors house, I spent alot of time in his garage as he was building a '69 Camaro. As I was snooping around I spotted a old rifle in the corner next the the water heater. He let me look at it and said that since I was so inthaled with it I could have it.

    I still have it and it shoots great.

    1st one I worked for and paid for with my money was an SKB Ithica mod 500 12ga O/U ,when I was 16 and I still have that one also

    Used my dads guns at about 10 with supervision got my own gun at 12(Winchester model 69 purchased from my gun nut uncle)

    11 yrs. and it was a marlin 80DL 22 they were wonderiful times me my dogs and 2500 acre stateland in upstate ny

    Started hunting at 12 with dad's Model 42 Winchester .410. Got a Higgins Model 30 made by High Standard (the REAL High Standard) when I was 14. Still have it, and thanks To JohnStimson I also have the owners manual.

    I was 12 I believe. It was an 1960 Colt, with all serial nos. matching. Had been in the family, and my dear grandmother saw I was a budding gun nut and gave it to me. Wish I still had it, but I don't.

    I was a city kid, and although I had .22 safaris with friends in the country I didn't own a shootable firearm until I was an adult. I am busily making up for that now.

    Officially it was my twelfth birthday present but I got it about six months early so I could use it that hunting season. Harrington & Richardson Topper M-48 .410 shotgun. Still have it.
