Man Iv been looking for a tractor to keep my 9ac bushhoged and put out round bales of hay dang at the prices Iv been seeing I may have to get a 2ed job just to pay for one [xx(][V]

Im wanting something with around 30 to 40hp but what makes it harder to find is I want a frontend loader on it also.
I missed a ford 3600 about 6 months ago had 6'cutter, frontend loader,disk and hay fork for 5600.00 Im still kicking myself over that one [V]

IMHO 30-40 hp is not enough to bale with, unless you have a stand alone baler. Check the hp requirements for whatever size round baler you are looking at using before you get the tractor. The size that you are looking at should be fine for mowing though. I just bough a '71 Ford 3000 last year. I paid $4k for it. It handles a 6' brush hog just fine. Make sure that you get one with a live PTO. Also be aware that the front ends on the 3000, 3600 series will not hold up to heavy loader use. If you plan on using the loader alot, look at the industrial models instead, they have a heavy duty front axel. 0 -

mot Im not going to bale hay with just move hay when feeding the hay burners [:D] not gojng to do very much with the frontend but its nice when you need it. [:D]0 -
