Man Iv been looking for a tractor to keep my 9ac bushhoged and put out round bales of hay dang at the prices Iv been seeing I may have to get a 2ed job just to pay for one [xx(][V]

I too would like to have a small tractor I can put a finish mower on, and maybe a bucket or blade for mowing and general work, but even used ones are too high. 0 -

Iv been looking for used ones with a bucket around 30 to 40hp and the cost has been from 7500 on up [V][V] if I could find one for 5 to 6000 in good shape Id jump all over it.0 -
Look into small older MF tractors. Model numbers 245,255, 265, or 275. They are great little tractors and run forever. Shouldn't be to expensive.

thanks shoff ill check into them but from the ones Iv seen so far they are just as much. Ill check the link out and see what i can come up with.

...If your not already doing it...at least run some spring calves (for a neighbor, anyone, will qualify your land as Ag use), then file with your county AG office and you can lower your property tax rate enough to make a sizeable dent in the price of a tractor...and you can always get your slaes tax exempt card from Wallie-World too...it all adds up. OR, buy you some doggie's of your own to punch...Yee-Haw...[:D]0 -

You stole it! Paid $20k for our 45hp Montana last year. Plus, I'd have given you $1,500 for the generator.

I didn't argue with him, he is the one that wanted it down. Classic095 went with me in Florida to pick this one up. Now I have a 5.5' new tiller to attach to the PTO. It was a good deal.0 -

They ain't cheap. A JD 4020 with worn rear tires and a bad clutch just sold for +$9000 this week on an auction. Shouldn't have brought more than 7500. I think a 4320 has stayed in the 10,000 to 13,000 price range for the last 25 years.
Farmers get a little money and prices start to jump.

IMHO go with a Ford Jubilee or Golden Jubilee.... they are 1950's tractors, but are a very simple 4 popper design that runs forever and ever. My friends mom sold one abou 3 months ago for 400 bucks.... all it needed was a radiator and it was good to go. I spent many of hours on that during the summer mowing pastures with a 1951 woods mower (that she sold for 250 because it needed one of the blades replaced). They are really easy to get parts for, and super easy to work on! 0 -
