Men openly carrying AR-15 rifles in Appleton spark gun debate
APPLETON, Wis. (AP) - Two men who openly carried assault-style rifles and handguns near a downtown Appleton farmers market have sparked a debate on Second Amendment rights.
Some gun rights advocates are angry that police held the two men at gunpoint and handcuffed them last weekend. Others are expressing frustration over what they say was a foolish and dangerous stunt.
Wisconsin Carry president Nik Clark says police acted outside of their legal authority when they pointed guns at the men and detained them. Appleton police say they got calls about the men from concerned citizens, briefly detained them and released them after determining they intended no harm and were in legal possession of the guns.
The Journal Sentinel says an officer questioning the men, ages 22 and 27, told them they were taking the Second Amendment a little too

that has nothing to do with it, random murder has been going on since recorded history, so has killing babies0 -

Regarding the comment on abortion.
I read an interesting article on the original abortion legislation, which legalized abortion in the US.
I do not recall the name of The guy who cast the deciding vote for abortion legislation. As I recall, he was a bit of a hold-out and he later said that a conversation with his daughter pushed his decision to vote yes on the legislation. He later (I guess 3-5 years ago now) said that he regretted voting yes.
That's what I like a man with convictions! A leader who can make good decisions!0
