Cowboy boot help...

Since it looks like I'm entering a Country & Western phase of my life,
I guess I need some cowboy boots, like the other fake cowboys at the Silver Spur have - Last Saturday I stuck little signs on my Nike's proclaiming that they were "cowboy boots". It didn't seem to impress the crowd.

Here's is my challenge: My feet are shaped like duck feet and I want pointy toed boots, that don't hurt.

Without breaking the bank, does anyone have any suggestions for solving this absolutely trivial problem ??

    If you are dressing to impress and need a pair of COWBOY boots, you've come to the right place.

    I suggest a dark brown lizard or ostrich leg boot by Tony Llama, Post, Mahon or Arias. These are nice enough boots and won't break the bank.

    Lucchese are my personal choice but $500 on up is a little rich for some folks blood. But if you want boots that fit like a glove[:)], these are where you want to land.

    The Llamas, etc., and Arias line will get you started without embarassing yourself any more than you likely are.

    Matty's right. Those are some butt-ugly boots. Just because boots have pointy toes, Know this; your toes don't go into the pointy part. Just try some boots on until you can slide them on and feel snug, but not tight. The one's with rounded toes are cool now. Take it from an old rodeo hand.

    Guess I've got my weekend work cut out for me.

    My budget is in the $200 range, so I guess the hand-made, custom-fitted ones are out of the pitcher.

    The Levis' are gone - gonna find some Wranglers or Lees??

    You can always look at www.sheplers.com and get an idea of what you like. DO try your boots on BEFORE you buy them. wear them around the store for awhile to be sure you like them. Be sure to buy them a a store that sells alot of cowboy boots so they can explain exactly how they should fit for the most comfort.
    Good luck. you won't regret a good pair of boots!!

    Don't just buy the first pair that feels ok either. Have them pull a few out and try them. You will be surprised at how much difference there can be. A good boot should not need a prolonged break in period.

    Haven't found any yet.

    I'm going to a place called Double D this week. It's in Salem, and it's the same people we bought our horse trailer from.

    I'm going to be very sure I get what I want before I buy them.
