    In states that are free, they can carry what everyone else has access to - chances are they won't need 'em.

    In $#!+holes like California and Massachusetts, they can carry what everyone else has access to - the politicians have said they won't need them.[}:)]

    i have been recently educated that they should be allowed to have helicopters with 50bmg's, so i guess there should be no limits to the damage they can do to American citizens, just as long as they don't use it on illegals crossing the borders i see no problem[:(]

    For some reason ive recently takes a dislike to police officers. I work with two of them a week, they all seem very condescending, and one even told he looks at every person as a felon until he determines otherwise.

    As others have said, If I can't have it, neither should any police agency, sorta goes against the concept of "peace officer".

    Aside from that, anything that requires an NCA release code and is classified as a "special weapon" most likely does not belong in a patrol car or at the local speed trap.

    I know a couple officers, and they are very trigger happy and not gun safe at all. No use in trying to tell them they won't listen.

    I hate to break this to ya, but armed helicopters are federally illegal. At least they used to be. Astrea (the department helicopter) wanted to have an M16 for the observer. Feds would not allow it. I think Sheriff Duffy allowed them to have them but they were locked into a rack, so they couldn't be taken out until the helio was on the ground, and told the feds to pound sand.
