Shoot alone?
How many of you normally shoot alone? Do you prefer to shoot alone, or is it just hard to get together with shooting buddies? I do some of both, but I tend to do more of my shooting alone because I don't like distractions.

mostly hunt alone..had a good friend who was 50 years older than me ..we used to hunt together a lot, when he died i just kept going to the same places, just on my own. 0 -
I almost never shoot alone, I'm competitive, and I would rather not shoot at all, then shoot alone most of the time. 0 -
I always shoot alone, nobody aroun here goes to the range and if they want to shoot they just go out back and trow off a few rounds.

Its rare for me to shoot or hunt alone. My sons see me in my gun room and they know right away that somethings up, and ask to come with. 0 -
for me it kind of depends on wshat the goal or motivation of the range trip is. if im going for practice, i'll generally go alone as i like to actually acomplish my goal. whereas if im going more to socialize or for a fun shoot, its tough to accomplish that goal without other folk around. 0 -

my friends/family always went out together.

probably 3/4 of the time I shoot alone, not that I prefer to, but it's hard to coordinate getting together for range time. I just "pop-in" at the range most the time, it's rarely planned in advance. 0 -
I have several people who I shoot with on occasion but I only live 3 miles from an excellent range with a handgun range, 600yard, two 200yard, and an indoor 50' rimfire range, an I am am a spontaneous person who doesn't know I am going to the range until about 5 minutes before I load stuff into the truck. 0 -
I mostly shoot competition, LOTS of people around.
If I want to "test" something out, I just go out back and pop off a round or three.0 -

I'll go with others when they invite, but I go by myself for the most part. I like to work on loads and technique, and don't like to socialize when I'm doing it.
