    yeah...no kidding...

    AFAIK if that much skin was removed, let's say due to severe burns, doctors would put on a silicone "skin" until grafts could be put on. Also the patient would be on antibiotics and opiate painkillers (more than likely IV with both, as well as plenty of saline)

    IMO this procedure is a very good way to land in the hospital...or worse.

    That just isnt right, I can only imagine the infection some people get. I just cant imagine why someone would do that to their body?

    Ok, I should have been smart enough to accept the warning, especially since I'm a little queasy from pain, but I really didn't think it could be all that bad. If I didn't have staples in my knee, I would have pulled a suture vomiting.

    I see alot of fear of what is outside the norm in this post. Ive read extensively on scarification, it happens all over the world, its becoming a trend in a big way in britain. Its more a personal journey than just a picture for others to look at. As you all know your body releases endorphins, not enough to make the pain unfelt but enough to get your body going on a natural high. On one documentary, that took place in britain, the scarrer took some kind of sauve, cant remember the name, but it was a numbing sauve and spread it all over the back of this woman, and he then proceeded to carve a tiger into her back. It was beautiful. Now i would never do that to myself but i can see why others would want to venture down that road.

    Had one on TV where guy was getting a "BURN" tattoo,, artist uses a miniture torch..can you say OUCH..

    Well I have to say thats the first time i've seen anything like that. I don't think I or anyone I know could withstand the process but I think the end result looks pretty cool. But perhaps thats because I'm youthful?

    Maybe she won't. Possibly, the "crack" will have wasted her away by then.
