Revolver--.22LR

If you were going to buy a revolver chambered in .22LR what would you buy? Just something that you can have fun with at the range and maybe take out squirrel hunting. Doesn't have to include the .22 Mag cylinder and must be affordable(IMO it is rediculous to pay what they want for some of them .22's). Single or double action, either one would be fine.

    I'm a fan of old H&R's like the "Sportsman" Or an older Iver Johnson "Sealed-8"
    Then there is a nice High Standard.
    And for a few dollars more, you can own a Ruger Single Six.
    And a little more$$$$ A colt or a Smith & Wesson.....
    There are countless options avalable. What do you actually want? How much do you want to spend?
    I still love the old H&R Sportman or 922's, Experts, Hunters, Trappers, etc..........

    I have a Ruger 22/45, Browning Buckmark, S&W 22A, New model single-six 22/22mag. Have had an Old Model Ruger single-six 22/22mag., Arminus revolver, 2-H&R revolvers, FIE revolver, several Heritages, High Standard (JC Higgins 80), S&W 422, Ruger Mark II, AMT Lightning, and probably a couple more I'm forgetting. Some shot well, some not so well. Out of all of them, it's hard to not want a Ruger single-six 22/22mag or H&R in the same configuration, for the versatility and/or the Ruger 22/45 or Mark II's, Buckmark or other quality brand auto, for quickness to load and accuracy. As with most of my guns, I obtained them in trades or deals I couldn't pass up, and tried them out, and traded or sold them to make another deal. I know it's hard to not want to go out and get one, but try a couple out for fit and feel. If you have friends with one of the ones mentioned (here or from one of the other's postings), it wouldn't hurt to shoot one to see what you think.

    I like my Taurus 94 in 22LR. 9 shots, adjustable sights, fun to shoot. accurate and affordable. Excellent value for the money. 22 mag ammo is both expensive and fairly loud in a handgun, so, I would stay with the 22lr.

    Don't recall the model, but long ago had an H&R, 9 shot, short barrel.

    Was a fine little gun. Fairly accurate, dependable, and just plqin fun
    to shoot.
