Who owned/owns....?

Admit it...you are among friends. Who owned a leisure suit? What color(s)? Like it or hate it? Will it come back as a trend?

    I had one and wore it to my prom. Yellow, looked good then and still fits. I just wish I still had my shoes with the 3 inch heels. Don

    I had a tan one when I was fifteen. I have to admit that it beat the hell out of the shirt/tie suits...if you don't mind looking like an ass.[;)]

    Did not have a Polyester Leisure Suit but did wear a light blue Polyester Tuxedo with accent trim to more than one event. Had a ruffled shirt with same accent trim too. I had a great big head of hair that earned me the moniker "Bobble Top" because it looked like a bubble on shoulders with a face. Some would call it an afro. Boy those were the days. Keep the clothes I want the hair back. Nah.... no hair is easier. Sigh!

    During that time, I was an on-the-road salesman, and I had several. Different colors and not all polyester.

    They followed the company dress code.

    I liked them a helluva lot better than 3 piece suits with ties. Although I no longer have any leisure suits, I still have a couple dozen of the regular type.

    Yes, I owned one. I think it was rootbeer brown and tan. HOPE they don't come back![:o)] At the time liked it......didn't know any better!

    OK, I really hate to admit this, but I was in High School and College during the main craze. I owned several, some were polyester,
    some were denim, some were unknown.

    I further hate to admit hanging out at the local Disco on Friday or Saturday nights wearing such items....

    I had a couple they were different colors of cordaroy, my sister recently wore the redish brown one to a 70s theme party. I got married in a powder blue cordaroy. (butt ugly)

    +1, but I do believe I thought I looked cool in sixth and seventh grade with my liesure suit and platform shoes.

    Did you wear the white belt and white shoes? Nothing says salesman like a white belt and white shoes. [:)]

    I owned a few of them. Earth colors, tans, browns, maroons. Looked good on the dance floor with the babes with wraparound skirts. Hey John, eat your heart out![}:)]

    James - I wasn't a used car salesman !!

    No white shoes, or belt, or platform shoes.

    Also never went for the radically long collar points.

    I have never much followed fads and trends.

    My Dad had two. One was gold and the other was dark green, both with the coordinating polyester shirt.

    Too young for the leisure suit? What about the corduroy 3-peice suit?

    I had a pale blue one I wore to the Prom. My date puked JD Black all over it so I threw it out the car window. Didn't need it anymore anyway since we were well passed the clothing stage of the date.

    Boy I sure did!

    Looked everywhere but can't find the pic of me in Junior High wearing a baby blue leisure suit and those disco platform shoes. The picture was for the church directory.

    For some reason this reminds me of the song "Boy Named Sue!"
