When I was in the Navy, CPO whites were double-breasted jackets, regular shirt w/black tie. And white pants. The jacket had the dark blue stripes on the left sleeve. When did enlisted go to the "choke collar" white jackets like USN/USMC officers? Joe 0 -

I did have a silk print shirt once in 9th grade (1978) I parted my hair down the middle and went roller skating. All because a girl wanted me to.

There has long been an urban legend that someone who looked exactly like me used to own and proudly wear several different leisure suits (powder blue for just one of the colors) and go to the various organized single events, looking good, in search of hot chicks to take home.
The legend goes further to claim that this clone, look-a-like of me even wore those puffy-at-the-sleeve cuffs "host" shirts. In addition it is claimed that his person who is unnamed wore bellbottom, white, duplicate of the US Navy pants as did his wife wear matching pants.

But I had several "Angel's Flight" disco suits made famous by John Travolta in"Saturday night Fever".
Strangely, no photographic evidence exists.

I had a blue "bushed denim" leisure suit with maroon suede platform shoes!!(1975)
It will be a real sad day when the styles of the 70's re-appear!!

I used to have a blue one with a large open collar, and white thread trim back in the disco days.
I wear a suit to work everyday, but I'll never be caught dead in a leisure suit again.[;)]
