Can you turn right on red after stop in Pa. under any conditions if the signal says No Turn On Red?
Apparently you can in Canada under specified conditions.

As a retired LEO in PA I will say NO you can not turn right on a red signal if there is a sigh prohibiting that turn. For your other question as to left turns, Yes you can but only if you are on a oneway street then you can make a left turn onto another oneway street without a sign prohibiting that turn. 0 -

Maybe the REAL question here is "can you," but we're reading into it "is it legal." The best answer to all the questions is YES, unless your car won't turn right (or left, depending on the question).
Then again, maybe the key part of the question is "under any conditions," in which case illegal may be a condition under which any of the turns can be made.

YES! You can turn right on red EVEN when a sign prohibits it as long as there are no cops around (covered under the, "if a cop didn't see it, I didn't do it" defense). You may get a ticket though if there is a red light camera. Most cannot pick up turn violators though.
BTW: Left on red is covered under the right on red laws when you are on a one way street turning left onto another one way street (as someone above mentioned). Just aks anyone that has driven in Baltimore.0 -

This depends on the state. Here in California as long as there are no sign and one comes to a complete stop (not a rolling stop or "I was going to come to a stop") one can make a turn right on red. I was in Washington State and my bro's "know it all" broad was telling me one can not make a right hand turn on a red. Now I didn't see a sign stating "No Right Turns On Red". Since I was just visiting I didn't want to go to the DMV or DOT (depending on the alphabet soup they used) I did not bother looking it up. Now if I were living there I would get a Driver's Manual of that particular state and have a looksy (something Sage1 should be a doin'[;)]).
I think they might do this no right turns on red to minimalize accidents (which takes longer to clean up than making a law). You know them folks who likes to speed up to out run the red light and smash in to a guy making a turn.0 -

No clue about PA. law on this, but in Virginia, the only time you can turn left on red legally is when on a one-way street, turning onto another one-way street.0 -

1) sit at the light throught three cycles
put you signal on and wait two more cycles
III) react poorly to horns blaring by waving finger.

1. Your not in Canada
2. You can read cause your replying to this thread
3. Make sure you tell the Police Officer when you are eventually stopped you have been turning right on red with a sign posted NO turning on red for years. That should make their day.
4. Maybe pay attention to other signs like .. Slow Children, Crosswalk signs...
You sound like one of those guys the rules don't apply to. If you have any questions about the law in PA call your DMV.0
