OK, How did you come up with your name
I don't know what kind of response to expect but I thought this thread could be a relief from the P & R threads that seem to be in vogue.
It's simple--when you dad to come up with a user name on Gunbroker, did you come up with something creative or something that describes you in some way?
As an example, My name is Paul and I like to fly; hence, Flyin_Paulie.

Good question, especially from the Former Gyrenes- 0341- let's see, all of us are basic 0311's- 0341- Machine Gunner, maybe I'll recall. I took "Old Gunny" even though I got out after 12 as a Staff Sgt. (E-6) because if I had used "Old Staff" some of you wise guyz might think I was referring to the "This is my rifle, this is my gun, one is for fightin', one is for fun"- although we didn't see much fun at MCRD San Diego-got a little better at ITR Pendleton- I hope the "Gunny" on the TV show "Mail Call" doesn't mind me using his call name--- 0 -

Pogybate, old slang for candy bars in the Marine Corps. Was a little chubby at PI, DIs called me Pogybate. Kinda stuck in my crainium. Correct word is Pogey-bait[:D] 0
