WAS BUSH A GOOD PRESIDENT?

    Yes. There was somethings I disagreed with, but all in all, he was a decent President.

    Considering the four likely choices, I suspect he will be viewed much better than the next.

    Never thought I'd say it. I miss Bill. The last 19 years we have possibly the 3 worst presidents ever. Only Lincoln and FDR would be in the running with these pukes. Prepare for another one. D or R, it doesn't matter. NAU here we come. We deserve what we get. We are stupid, fat, lazy, blissfully ignorant Americans.

    I think he has lowered the bar to a permanent low. To be lower would require an entirely new system of govt. Seig heil! Understand?

    I voted for him both times...he made some huge mistakes, and to tell the truth, I think he is still better than his former opposition. I like the fact that even when totally wrong, he stands by his decision with conviction. At least he was never wishy washy in most areas even when making bad choices. He had/has conviction and follows through with what he feels is best (albeit mostly wrong this last term). How many politicians in the past have you seen back peddal,stutter or just downright lie on topics they new they screwed the pooch on? At least this guy stands by what he did even though allot of it was idiotic. As I said, he was still the best man for the job in my mind at the time of the elections and he is still my presidnet no matter how disappointing he has become. Easy to armchair quarterback when we haven't walked in the shoes, but he has pretty much sucked the past 4 years.

    7 yrs ago we would not have gotten this response. You are right on point..R OR D who cares anymore. Its nuts...its all just nuts...To have a gun broker member think hes getting bucked because he dont get 1200.00 because he makes 150K + makes me sick....I just dont get it

    i will say the same thing about bush that i said about bill clinton......america is a beautiful and strong country and the president cant make better or worse this country. life has been good in america under both clinton and bush.

    No, Bush was not a good President. He did a few good things, and signed way too many spending bills. Even with that, I would vote for him again over the two he ran against.

    The REAL pres is Cheney, and both him & W have disapointed me. I voted for them the last time, and cinsidering the choice I thought I'd picked the lesser of two evils. You want to remember that if it weren't for his brother being the gov of Florida, W wouldn't have gotten in office the first time. The Bush family is wormy, but not nearly as wormy as the Clintons. If we knew ALL of the truth about Bill & Hill we probably wouldn't believe it, I'm sure it would be stranger than fiction. They have some real bad juju following them. This should be over in polotics, sorry about the rant.

    You call it conviction, I call it stubborn and arrogant. I don't need a president who's sure he's right (even when he's wrong). I need a president who's right most of the time, and who learns from his mistakes when he makes them.

    Where does good judgment come from?
    Experience.
    Where does experience come from?
    Bad judgment.

    Bush lacked the former and never quite mastered the latter.

    I'd put him pretty close to the bottom. From his raping of the Constitution to making America look like an incompetent bully, he has done more harm to America and Americans than any other president in recent history.
