No....for one main reaon...his domestic policies. He is responsible for growing Big Brother into a monstrous machine. We have lost more freedom under his administration than any other. With 9/11 it probably would have happened no matter who was Pres, but Bush was our Pres and he could have stopped much of it. He also sold us down the river when it comes to the Second Amendment.
He did take the war to the terrorists and kept them from hitting us on our soil again...and I do support this.0 -

Bush was a mediocre president, but he was just what we needed after 9/11. He has only two faults, but they are biggies: he is too moderate, and he is a terrible communicator. We live in a visual world, and the latter fault has hurt him badly. I believe he is a good and honorable man, which is refreshing. I think he has handled the war on terror fairly well, and he understands how the economy works. He had not responded well to criticism, which makes him look silly. He is not an idiot, not a fool, and history will be kind to him. 0 -

The ONLY people that can give him even a fair rating are the ones that have not taken the time or are unable to completely wrap their minds around the full extent of the damage he has done. Also the lack of things he has done. I doubt there's ever been a list as long in history.

Hmmm, well the prosperity of the Clinton years is gone, we are in a war we absolutely cannot afford unless we have contracts like his cronies. Petroleum is at an all time high and the oil patch cats are getting obscenely fat. He is owned lock stock and barrel by corporate interests, Homeland Security is one of the largest bureaucratic boondoggles ever, and the VP, whose former company moved to Dubai for tax sheltering their billions, shoots supporters.

Bush is the worst President of the past 100 years. Even if there was a kernel of good to be found somewhere, his stupid invasion of Iraq trumps all.
I would hesitate to say that the other choices would have been worse. I don't think that there is any way that Gore would have invaded Iraq.

i will say the same thing about bush that i said about bill clinton......america is a beautiful and strong country and the president cant make better or worse this country. life has been good in america under both clinton and bush.
So let me get this straight: The most powerful man in the world cannot improve or detract from the most powerful country in the world?
